Hey Check out the pictures on my profile at the bottom of the girls at lunch. I was in town for Mother's Day and we got some of the girls together. We had a great time. We should do it more often and get more people to participate.

How about those Heels. Back to the CWS for the 4th year in a row. North Carolina also became the first ACC school to reach the College World Series, a bowl game and the men's basketball Final Four in the same season. Just thought all you Cow College fans would like to know that!

Ouch...that hurt, John.

But not as bad as the 41-10 beatdown delivered in Chapel Hill.

We missed seeing many of you at Reynolda Village on August 22. Arnold's band is great, and Dean Weavil, Donna Canter Goforth, Becky Brooks Sanderford, and her husband, Hugh, Fred and Debbie Anderson, and of course, Arnold and his wife were there. We had a ball, and if your ears were burning, we were probably talking about you.

I have the sad duty to inform all of you that one of our classmates has passed. Sharon Poindexter, passed away this morning about 1 AM after a battle with cancer. One of my Sunday School class members, who also works for the school system, left a message on my answering machine while I was out at lunch. I called North Forsyth, where she worked as a data assistant, and they verified it. At that time, there were no funeral arrangements announced but I may know something over the weekend. I know her Dad had passed, and I think her mom has, too. I never heard her mention siblings but I never asked. I saw Sharon about a month ago and she looked well, and she told me the prognosis looked good so this came as a shock to me. As soon as I know more, I will let all of you know it.
