After graduation I worked for the summer at Standard Pressed Steel Co. in Jenkintown. Then drove a large dump truck hauling river gravel and stone for Delaware Valley Cement in Hatboro. In 1956 I joined fellow classmate Dean DeCarlo working for his father's tool and die company, Philadelphia Carbide. I enlisted into the army on 13 Nov. 1956, and completed Basic Training at Ft. Jackson, SC., and in Jan. 1957 began the remainder of my service at Fr. Bragg, NC. I was discharged two months early in Sept. 1959 to begin the fall quarter at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. After one and one half years of Graduate School, I graduated in 1967 with a major in Geology and a minor in Physics.

I worked one year as a Microwave Engineering Specifications Detailer, and in June 1968 joined Dames & Moore, Consulting Engineers in the Earth Sciences. At D&M I participated in the Marine Services Group as a Marine Geologist and Professional Diver. Project locations included USA, Africa, Spain, and Puerto Rico. I was assigned to the Hawaii Office from 1970 to 1974 with the rest of the time to 1967 in the Atlanta Office. In 1969 I joined the Georgia Geologic Survey as a Senior Project Manager, and retired from their in July, 2011. I presently live near NE Atlanta, Just east of Tucker, GA
with two German Shepherd Dogs. I have a complete machine shop and complete projects for myself and friends. I have completed the restoration of a 1966 Shelby GT350 automobile which I purchased in Jan. 1971 when they were affordable ($1,400), a 1975 Triumph Daytona 500 motorcycle, and a 1967 XLCH Harley Davidson motorcycle which I bought new in 1967.
