Oh! got it! thinker:mensa... gotcha!

NOT! i couldn't possibly do any thinking with all y'all hangin' around with clothespins attached to your noses! we'll have to come up with a better idea.

Ken: gee... thanks for the input. I'm feeling so good about this.. yep... uh huh... sure thing.

Big Hoorays to Tommy's Darby for her award winning reading!

and a big Hooahh to my little man for finishing out his 4th year with all A's! (takes after his dad... shut up Mike)

Ken: Watching my Dad and my niece with insulin and the frustrations that go with it, was my true motivation. I was given an opportunity to head this off or at least delay it for some years and I just took advantage.

But what I wanted to say was this. Yes I like that 'Stinker"... Gina is the 'Stinker'.

My question is this, who is bringing the clothespin to the reunion :-)

Tommy, good thing Darby takes after mom.... ;-)

Dave: I'm gonna see if Bill O'Reilly has any Pinhead awards left over...you are a deserving recipient. :)

I was just at the official Tabb High site. I see they have an alumni registration that would pretty much offer up what Dave has given us all so freely. They have a charge of $10 to do a full registration. Have any of you seen this... registered for this? etc??

Hey Gina, You haven't gotten your bill yet from Dave. That pinhead crack is gonna cost you even more.

Kenneth Gray

Gina,

Sorry about the "stinker" comment, but, you're the one who mentioned "olfactory sensors kicking in" in an earlier post. I was simply reacting to your suggestion.

OMG! This is really going to be one hell of a good time at the reunion! I'm having too much fun already.
And I sure hope Ken's apology was NOT sincere!

06/17/08 09:44 PM #462

Kenneth Gray

Gina,
Only half sincere on the apology. I probably shouldn't cut up with those whom I don't know that well. If someone else got a chuckle out of it...we're all friends here.

I am enjoying everyone's stories of elementary school. Being a military kid, you get new friends every 3 or 4 years, and don't ever see most of them again. I would not trade my upbringing for anything in the world, but I do sometimes wonder how different things would be had I grown up in the area, and knowing you all more than just from high school.

There is actually one person in our graduating class whom I new in elementary school. Carmen Warner's dad and mine were both stationed in England at the same time. Our families arrived summer of '68, before 2nd grade. Carmen and I went to the same school one year, we moved to a different base, but our families continued to visit each other, and always have. The Warners are second parents to me and my brothers. Carmen came to Tabb her last 2 years of high school.

I'll be sure to bring the clothespins to the reunion, just incase!

Hey Gina, send me the link that you have to 'the official Tabb High Site' I think you may be somewhere else...Tabb High Alumni official... well it appears to be nothing more that another classmates.com reunion.com etc....so please send me the link. Thanks.

And I am curious....

Pinhead???

That is a first, I've been called fathead, big head, etc, but never pin head, because my head is rather large. When I was a preparing for graduation from DI school at Parris Island and went to get my 'beaver butt' fitted (DI Cover and a cover is a hat) the Instructor tried on a bunch of them and none fit. He finally reached over to the GI Can (trash can) and pulled the lid off and said that I could use that... so Louie why would I send her a bill for such a compliment :-)

And I have had no cocktails :-) Hi Lori Ann

Dave's Pinhead Award: But what I wanted to say was this. Yes I like that 'Stinker"... Gina is the 'Stinker'.

Now... I am sure no one here would ever say anything that was even remotely meant to be an offensive comment. Certainly not me!

Ken: I cut up on other threads with people that I've never met... never knew before and they get a real good idea of my personality real quick to where they give back as good as I give. Never worry that you don't know any of us well enough that you can't be yourself or feel that you belong here any more or less than the rest of us.

We are all part of a little group that with any luck will be able to continue until the last man/woman is standing.

We may not have all known all at the time when this all began (1965-1979) but we all dropped in somewhere in between to become a part of this Class of '79. ...which makes us a "family" of friends that is very special.

My mom is going to her 55th class reunion in 2010 and they are about 50 students plus spouses (or not) strong and they plan to continue until there is no one left to meet up with. I want this for us too.

That's what makes this website so special(Thank you pinhead Dave again). I have made friends with complete strangers via the website that I sell my jewelry on. My goodness, you'd think we'd known each other all our lives and of course there are millions all over the Internet that have done the same.

Regardless of when we dropped in to or dropped out of this Class of '79... we now have a commonality that is ours forever.

So everyone joke with, kid with, rib at, tickle, love, like, grrrr at, cry with, and celebrate with each other into our golden years... we're a special group... so why not? :)

*** I WISH I had some coctails! *** (well maybe a little later today!)

Thanks for the great insight Gina. I'll drink to that..... Having my cocktail

We shouldn't get caught up in comparing success with one another. It's awesome to read through the profiles and see the great things our classmates have accomplished in 29 years. However, we are only on this wonderful world for but a brief moment and it's far to easy to lose touch with the friends we've made through the years. Sometimes we don't even have time to go across the street to meet our new neighbors.

I am so looking forward to seeing everyone to just give'm a big hug.

(((((GROUP HUG)))))!!!!!!

Gina,Ken,Dave,Lori,Loui and everyone else out there .......... It's o.k. to be yourself because you are you.
Everyones uniqueness makes life so interesting. It's been a pleasure getting to know you via internet. Thank you for sharing I hope everyone is having a great day. I am. The last 6yrs. of my life haven't been so great. Three major surgeries and 1 of them was for a brain tumor. I was divorced after 20 years of marriage, while going thru my health issues. I have chosen to let my experiences make me a stronger person rather than feel defeated. If your having a bad day or going thru a bad experience feel free to contact me anytime, I will be there for you :) Give ya a beer and a kick in the butt. (just kidding) Sometimes life doesn't always turn out the way we expect but it does serve to make us a better person.

Louie, I agree, we should not be comparing succeess (I mean I went to a Doctor's 6th birthday party!!!, Outstanding Kathy...)

I think, if we are still here, then our job isn't done. And just surviving to (Gulp) Middle Age is a miracle in todays times...

Thank God I have 5-10 years before middle age :)
