Yes, that's Ted at the NRA convention. He's autographing his latest single titled "I'm the NRA" for me.

Speaking of Ted and all things gun related, today is a great day in history! Today, the US Supreme Court ruled that the 2nd Amendment is an individual (vice collective) right. I think they should have waited until 4 July to release a ruling like that!

If we need funds for this class reunion thing, I'd be glad to auction off the autographed CD to the highest bidder, with all proceeds going to the reunion funds. You can see from the photo (in my profile) that the signature is genuine.

Bruce, you would give that up?? And Terri, what do you mean you didn't know who that was??? And I thought hanging with me and my redneck family for the last 25 years had rubbed off on ya! lolol

Karen - too funny -
bruce - I'll start the bid at $20

Karen Perry (Burnett)

$25!! ;- )

Terri Duncan (McDonald)

Well, I only let certain redneck things sink in and let other things go. Kind of like your redneck adding---we are celebrating our 30th reunion and we met the summer before 8th grade, and yet, you still think it is only 25 years!! hmmmm

06/26/08 03:36 PM #509

Karen Perry (Burnett)

No dear, I'm talking about when I turned into a redneck. You know when I married "the man"! lolol

06/26/08 03:37 PM #510

Karen Perry (Burnett)

OH wait! YOU married "the man"! I married Redneck Rick! lolol

Karen, I turned to country music about 10 years ago. Never was much into ol Ted.

Why don't we say the bidding on the CD ends when 100 folks have been contacted about the reunion*. Then the winner sends a check to Dave and I send the CD to the winner.

* The 100 contact number assumes Gina has returned with her newfound gambling wealth. We'll modify the rules if she isn't back yet.

It is still so good to hear from everyone! I think that perhaps instead of, or in addition to mud wrestling, we might consider cat-fights as entertainment. The last few entries between Gina, Terri and Karen indicate that these ladies might scrap it up with the right encouragement.

Lou, Al, good to be reminded about Tabb Intermediate. Did any of you have Mr. Wiseman for gym, or Archie Hughes for shop? I also remember having fun in Ms. Dickson and Tagge's classes.

Later,
keg

Bruce, I bid $30.00.

Kenny, I had both Archie Hughs with the elephant hicky on the side of his head and Mr. Wiseman. Wiseman always looked like he just woke up from a nap.

Love the cat fight idea. My money is on Terri. I like pullin for the underdog. LMAO :)

Karen: It dawned on me in the shower what you meant, duh! And, yes, you did marry Redneck Rick!!

Noz: I like country music too, but I still like to rock out (makes me feel young again). I can pretty much listen to anything other than rap and opera. I think it is a great idea that you are going to sell the autograph for the reunion. Woohoo!

Ken: That class was one of my favorites! Definitely fun times.

Lastly, to Louie: Thanks for betting on me. However, I am not sure why I am the underdog. After all, I kicked Karen's booty in 8th or 9th grade, and I am sure I can do it again (just don't tell Karen I told you, she likes to think that she won). :)

BTW, I tried to find some people through myspace. I found Pete Kubesh's son, and I told him about the reunion and the reunion site, and he said he would contact his dad and Uncle Tom and let them know. So, hopefully, we can get them onboard.

While I prefer country music, I did get excited when I heard Three Dog Night was back together a few years ago. And, I saw Tom Jones in Vegas a couple years ago. 70 year old man, doing all his classics, and rap, and folk, etc. And he's still dancing on stage, only now he wears pajama type clothes.

I've got the latest Tom Jones CD. Sorry, not for auction. :)

06/26/08 07:19 PM #517

Terri Duncan (McDonald)

Tom Jones!!! My mother used to love him! I can just imagine a bunch of 60- and 70-year-old women going to his concert and instead of throwing thongs and bikini panties, they are throwing granny panties and their dentures, :)

You all know by now that George Carlin died. He came out with the "New Rules for 2007", and one them was the one below. I thought it was too funny not to share, especially in light of this forum.

New Rule: Stop giving me that pop-up ad for classmates.com! There's a reason you don't talk to people for 25 years. Because you don't particularly like them! Besides, I already know what the captain of the football team is doing these days --- mowing my lawn.

Who was the captain of our football team anyway?

Terri, You may still be able to take Karen but I don't think you can take Gina. She's still pretty tough in my book. Although she did almost break out into tears when I saw her at Costco the other week.

Bruce, I don't think I'll be bidding on the Tom Jones CD even if he dropped a little sweat on it...lol I get a kick out of kids today wearing KISS T-shirts. I laugh and tell them I saw KISS in concert in 1976.

06/26/08 07:46 PM #519

Terri Duncan (McDonald)

You may be right about Gina, but I think she is a softie at heart!

Kiss was my very first concert I went to, also in 1976. That was a great concert. My youngest, age 13, loves the 70s music. For her birthday two years ago, we got her the Queen CD. I think she has an old soul or something. Seeing the kids wearing any of the "old school" bands, like AC/DC, Kiss, Rolling Stones, crack me up, like their generation discovered these great bands.

Terri, Where did you see KISS? I saw them in Richmond... My absolute favorite was Kansas.

06/26/08 08:53 PM #521

Terri Duncan (McDonald)

Karen and I saw them at the Hampton Coliseum. That was an awesome show. I think I liked Gene better with his make-up though. I think my favorite concert was Van Halen (with Sammy Hagar).

My poor kids have never been to a concert (that they can remember). Took my oldest to see Alan Jackson and Faith Hill (she opened for Alan J.) when she was 3. We live 3.5 hours away from any place that puts on concerts and that would mean either staying the night or driving back after the concert, uh no!!

Hey everybody. Wow y'all have been busy. Love to read all the posts. Gina hope you had a good trip. Hey Terri and Karen. Terri ... getting ready to quit my MT job. Long story. Louie you love to carry on a conversation. You are so easy to talk to. Can't wait to see you at the reunion. Dave ... I can't wait to meet you. I don't think I really talked to you much in high school. It's sad that we couldn't all be this close way back in the day.

We definitely need a group hug next summer and a LOT of pics!

Cool, the message forum must be working again :-)

Hey Lisa, Dave thought the message forum was broke for a few days but we figured it was a little slow cause Gina was out of town... lol

The family and I are headed to Hilton Head, SC tomorrow morning. We'll be there through Friday am and then head to Savannah, GA for the weekend. Maybe one day I'll get to go to Venice. Don't worry I'll have my laptop so I can stay connected.

Terri Duncan (McDonald)

Good morning all!! It's Friday, yay!

Louie: We stayed overnight in Savannah, GA once on our way to Disney and it was beautiful. I wish we could have had time to really explore the town. I take it you are a golfer since you are going to Hilton Head. My cousin loves to golf there. Me, I would rather play Putt Putt, lol.

How nice to see so many posts in just the last day! Wow!

UM??? George Carlin died? You being serious?

Karen Perry (Burnett)

Hey Gina! Welcome back! Terri, do they have putt putt in Kiawah?? lol

Gina, we have been busy since you have been on vacation. At first, everyone was lost without you, but we were able to find our way and get back on track, :)

Karen, I don't know. We'll have to check it out when we are down there.
