I agree with you Gina! Obama has charm and charisma, but that is about it.

Hello to all of my former classmates,

First, a thank you to Dave Emmons for allowing me to join. It was very kind of him as I am not actually a graduate of Tabb, but left junior year.

Second, many thanks to those of you that have responded - I have so many fond memories of Tabb Intermediate and Tabb High... Dena Boninu and I really had the time of our lives during those years.

I currently live outside of Atlanta, Ga with my husband and three children. I am planning on attending the reunion, (thank you, Dave), and will do my best to convince Dena to as well.

I have been reading past forum postings and was so happy to see names like Trey, Louie, Allen, Mike and Kenny - hope all of you are well and happy.

Take care and look forward to seeing you next year!

Hey Kathy Blevins Angelucci,
I must say I was pleasantly surprised to see you log in. Angelucci??? That's gotta be Sicilian...lol I remember when you moved.:( Have you and Dena kept in touch over the years? Make sure she attends the "30". I think she skipped out on the "20". I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone next year.:)

Hey right back at ya', Louie!

Can't wait for the reunion! It does not seem like 32 years since I have seen you and our other classmates... time certainly flies. I did see a few when I moved back to VA in the early 80's - I attended TNCC awhile before I got married. I saw Chuck, Clyde, Trey, Matt Ashby, Terry Akers... so great seeing them all. I remember when Marty and Mr. Morris passed away - that was so incredibly sad. Marty was such a unique individual.

I will call Dena and ask her to go the the reunion - I can't even begin to tell you how neglectful a friend I have been. I still exchange Christmas cards with her mom and dad - they are wonderful people. They still live in the same place...

Hey Doug - How have you been? So far I haven't heard of anyone else trying to save gas by riding a cycle in our local area. Still need to save gas for the truck and boat - There are a couple of boat owners so maybe we could meet at Factory Point for a BBQ? I work in Mexico and only get home on the weekends although this time I'm gone for 2 weeks. Will be home for my daughters 21st BD on the 14th!!! I have to pay for the Limo for her and her girlfriends. Give me shout and we can hook up sometime.

Gene,
if you need a limo, and haven't got one yet, call my girlfriend (Christina), she works at Carey VIP limo (757)2205466. Tell her who you are so she can work out a deal for you.

Doug - reserve us a big one (BIG HUMMER) for the reunion! I'm still waiting on my daughter to make decision on what she wants to do - I offered to send her Vegas or Myrtle Beach, I even had a room the New VA Beach Hilton reserved (cancelled it) - but she said she will probably have a party at factory point - her friends will take their Duck hunting boats -But thanks for the offer!

Gene,
Duck huntin boats at factory point! Now she sounds like a down to earth girl to me. Can't beat those county raised gals.....gotta love them. Sounds like she knows how to have a good time without costing a arm and leg. I'll see what I can do about wheels for the reunion.

My daughters friends are young and can't afford the big boy toys yet!

You know what they say about getting older - The only good thing about getting is the older you get the bigger and better toys you get!

Glad to see the chat is working now.

Is it? I must not be doing something right then, because there is never anyone on-line in there with me!

Hey Doug,
To bad I don't have a bike (Harley). The bike ride sounds like a great idea. I'm sure as the website grows there will be several more people with bikes that will be interested in joining in. Let Dave know when and where and he can send out an announcement through the website.
About 8 years ago I had an itch to get a Harley and about the same time we were planning to expand the family. Lori said I could either have a Harley or have a son. Well, I now have a 7 year old son, a 5 year old son, an 18 year old daughter from a previous and NO Harley. No time for toys big or small, just having a blast with the boys. There's no better time spent than teaching your kids how to throw a football or baseball...

I've not been able to get the chat thing to work... but I generally don't have available time to do it anyway.
I do use Skype to talk to other crafters via video and audio. This takes place for many hours a day. While I'm making my little treasures, I have at least one other person on the computer with me keeping me company and vice versa.
www.mebeam.com (free service) gives us the ability to have video with up to as many as 36 (I think) attendees at any given time. Altho, for my little group... it's usually only about 6 or less.
What it does for me is allow me to interact without having to type.
I am sorry for not being as active here as I had been. I'm gearing up for craft shows coming up in a few months and creating a rather large inventory to hopefully satisfy as many personalities as possible! ;)
Any any case.. check out the mebeam.com for those of you that have video and audio capability... you can connect with loved ones or friends in a private setting...for free! (I love free...don't you?)

Hey Louie,

At the risk of starting a "Why a Harley is better than a wife" thread, I have to state that I sold my (orange/black) Harley in the mid-80's to pay for my wedding. Today, I'm divorced and driving a (orange/black) Harley. The Harley is paid for, but the child support goes on and on and on. :)

Food for thought ...
No matter how good it gets with a wife and kids, imagine life with a wife, kids, and a Harley.

B. Noz.

Hey Bruce,
Good point. But to tell you the truth, I think I'd be scared to death to get out on the highway on a bike. I just recently lost a good friend from church in a motorcycle accident. As it turned out another vehicle was involved and they didn't stop (Hit & Run). You can be the safest rider in the world but there's no way to predict what the idiots on the road are going to do. Right now I have way to much to live for to take any kind risk.
As far as wife vs. Harley... Lori is an awesome wife and mother, way better than a Harley. Now exwife vs. Harley is an entirely different story. Counting down the months on the last child support payment, only 7 more to go.

Louie, I hear ya.

Starting with the Honda CB350 I rode to THS, I've been riding for over 30 years now. Never even had a close call until two years ago. I saw the other driver, including the cell phone stuck up to her ear, and there was nothing I could do but grin and bear it. I ended up splattered across the road with (luckily) only a sprained ankle. If there is a silver lining, I was off the crutches in four days, the bike was rebuilt in four months with custom parts (compiments of her insurance) and my stock account got a big cash infusion 18 months later (again, compliments of her insurance company).

But, remember, if it's cool to own one Harley, it's even cooler (and legal from a poligimist perspective) to own several Harley's. And it doesn't involve a lawyer to get rid of an old Harley.

Hey Bruce,
And you don't have to worry that your Harley will let some else ride it if you leave the motor running...;)

08/14/08 08:14 PM #701

Doug Long

Hey Bruce,
are you planning on riding out to the reunion on your bike? If so let me know so we can get you, Gene and myself, and anyone else that rides together for a ride. I was starting to get a little worried reading what you and Louie were saying about Harleys and women.....it was almost like the lines were begining to blend together a little there :).....

08/15/08 09:32 AM #702

Bruce Nozolino

Right now I'm scheduled to be out of the country during the reunion time frame. If that changes, then I'll be there, bike and all.

Women and Harleys ...

Modern Harley's are very easy to get "fired up". And with the older Harley's, if they don't "fire up" right away, you just kick 'em harder.

A Harley full of gas is a good thing.

If you get tired of your Harley, you can swap with your best friend's Harley for the weekend, just for a change of pace.

Had to chime in :
Lou I fully understnad the reasons you don't have one.
I think you made the right choice, hands down.

As for me; mine has been sitting in the garage now for 2+ years. I was running hard and it dropped a vavle in rear jug. Which because the front was still firing ate the internals and spit alluminum chunks out the tail pipes from from front and rear cylinders. So - there she sits waiting for an extra 5k to rebuild it. The things of life come before toys these days and that is something new to hear from me I suppose.
I can bring a piston along for conversation LOL.
Also, need to mention this was a modifide Vulcan 800 sport not a harley. (But, oh my it would run) I do still have a permit and have been riding since pre-Tabb.

Had two rather rough falls, none over 50mph luckly.
(infamous words of both incidents: I did'nt see you)

Anyway if some one left a motor running as Lou mentioned i would be inclined -maybe i'll have another by then- :D
