ANNOUNCEMENTS

I met with my contact at the Hilton Garden Inn yesterday, and she checked online for the distance to Polish Village. She got EXACTLY 5.0 miles, which is what my view on Mapquest showed, so she said no problem running people there and back on the shuttle. We did agree to have a group shuttle (or two) over and back rather than a bunch of runs to keep their runs to a minimum, so we can work all that out later. Bottom line for those of you flying in, the shuttle is good for the airport to the hotel and to Polish Village and back so you should be set for the weekend, unless you need to run to Giant Eagle or Marc's for something.....or to a bar in downtown Berea!

When you arrive by plane, if you are staying at the Hilton Garden Inn, you will need to call the hotel for the shuttle. If you fly back home on Sunday or Monday morning, they do run shuttles on the half hour every morning.

Things are shaping up for our reunion on July 21st.  We currently have 64 classmates signed up for dinner and have 90 total people attending.  We also have 61 people signed up for the Lolly the Trolley Tour of downtown Cleveland that morning/afternoon.  We can still accommodate 15 more on the trolley. If you are interested in coming to the reunion dinner and/or the trolley tour, please contact me on this site or email me at balangner@columbus.rr.com.  We are also trying to set something up with Dennis Kushlak or Gary Croy on the progress of the demolition of BHS and construction of a new high school.  For those who have not seen the detailed info, the dinner costs $65 per person and is at the 100th Bomb Group Restaurant on Brookpark Rd. across from the airport at 7 pm.  The host hotel with the $94 room rate is the Cleveland Airport Hilton Garden Inn, also near Brookpark Road.  Rooms at that rate must be reserved by June 30th.  For the trolley tour we will meet at the hotel at 10:45 on the morning of the 21st and return by 3:00 pm.  And please dress casually and comfortable for the reunion dinner.  It's been a hot summer!

Bruce Langner

We have had a couple of last minute cancellations for the reunion dinner on Saturday, July 21st, at the 100th Bomb Group Restaurant on Brookpark Road.  If anyone on this site would still like to attend, we may be able to add a few people.  We are close to 100 which may be the capacity for the room we have reserved.  If you are interested, please email me as soon as possible at balangner@columbus.rr.com.  The cost of the dinner is $65 per person.  Again, we can add a few, but not too many.

Also, we still have about 10 seats left for the Lolly the Trolley tour of downtown Cleveland and University Circle.  The cost for that is $30 per person.  If you are in the greater Cleveland area, you may want to the do the tour even if you don't come to the dinner, as you will see most of the returning classmates on the tour.

If you need further details, again, please email me or contact Toni Ferlilto Cern if you are in touch with her on Facebook or on Classmates.com.

Co-Coordinator

We are planning to have our 50th Reunion for the Class of '68 on Saturday, July 21,2018 at the 100th Bomb Group Restaurant adjacent to the airport on Brookpark Road. Toni Cern has put a deposit on a room for us. We will work out details and costs later, but please put the date on your calendar to save that weekend. The night before (Friday, July 20th) is the annual All-Class reunion in Polish Village, so you can combine two events together in one trip. We'll plan some other events between now and then for Saturday and maybe Sunday of that weekend. Feel free to contribute any ideas. If you are on Facebook and not yet on the Class of '68, please join it to get the most up-to-date information on the reunion. Hope to see a lot of classmates in '18!

Bruce Langner has created a Facebook group for the Class of 1968. Search groups and e-mail to join this open group.
