Carol Martin (Turner)

We were neighbors and good friends since age 12.  One hot summer day we walked 2 miles to Echo Lake. I did not know how to swim but "Dick" did. That was what his family and friends knew him as.  He taught me how to swim. He used to practice flips on my front lawn many years before he became a cheerleader at EHS. My best memory was when we decided we needed to go to Richmond Beach. Only problem was we were 15 and neither one of us had a driver's license. And this is a major confession .... we "appropriated" my mom's second car while she was at work. Dick was a very good driver! Mom never found out - we were good at keeping our mouths shut. Thanks for the good times my friend.
