"Cliff" Clifford John Corcoran, 52
Passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2014 following a brief illness.
Cliff was native of Connecticut, and has been a resident of Sulphur since 2010. Cliff retired Chief Master Sargent from the United States Air Force after 25 years of service during which he visited over 43 countries and all 50 states. He was a decorated Veteran who served in numerous conflicts for our country. Cliff continued his dedication to our military by overseeing military aircraft maintenance as the Site Manager for North American Aircraft Services, Inc. at Northrop Grumman Lake Charles. Cliff was a dedicated New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan, who enjoyed fishing and boating and holding "small" gatherings in his man cave. His mischievous personality earned him the honor of being crowned the current King of the Krewe of Mischief.
Survivors include his wife, Roberta "Bobbie" Corcoran of Sulphur; father, Daniel Corcoran of South Windsor, CT; son, Jamie Corcoran and wife Lauren and grandson Kaleb (baby Ogleo) all of Shreveport; stepsons, Brett Houston of Jacksonville, FL and Steven Houston of Moss Bluff; and brother, Paul Corcoran of South Windsor, CT.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Corcoran; and sister, Sharon Palumbo.
Visitation will be held 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 13 in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home followed by a celebration of life service at 3 p.m- 6 p.m. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m., Monday, September 15 in Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi, MS with full military honors.
