William "Bill" Clarence Walters, age 76, passed away on Sunday evening, August 20, 2023,
at Baptist Health Care in North Little Rock, AR.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 24, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until the service time beginning at 12 o'clock noon in the Chapel of Kimbro Funeral Home in Marks, MS, with the interment to follow in Marks Cemetery.

William was born on October 23, 1946, to Oren & Imogene Walters in Houston, MS.
William had a few nicknames, W.C., and Dub were known in MS, but when he joined the Air Force, he was known as Bill. He served twenty-three years in the military. After the military, they moved back to Marks, MS where William was employed at the Quitman County Hospital where he worked in the maintenance department and went from fixing beds to ambulances and enjoyed test driving them. Then they moved to Jacksonville, AR where he was employed working on C-130's modifications. Next, they moved to Texas, and he worked for Rayathon with navigation units. Finally, they moved back to Cabot AR where he would work for Hawker beechcraft on planes and would take them on a test flight. William fought in Vietnam with three tours to Germany and other places he was stationed at were, Las Vegas, Virginia, Florida, Mississippi, Arkansas and Texas.

Some of his hobbies included: racing and fixing cars, throwing darts, tasting new foods and beer, spending time with his grandchildren and fixing all the things they broke, loved pissing his wife Shirley off and was a prankster from hell.

Those whom he leaves behind include his wife, Shirley Walters of Cabot, AR; daughter, Ellen Todd of Crowder, MS; granddaughter, Angel Bailey (Carson) of Crowder, MS; great grandchildren, Shannon Swayze, Silas Bailey, siblings, Larry Walters (Wanda) of Batesville, MS; Patricia Mills (Richard) of Senatobia, MS; Shirley Pittman (Mike) of Batesville, MS; four nieces and four nephews.
Other special children we collected along the way include, Candi Carnathan (Clarence), Tia Trochman (Derek), Ceasley Morrison (Brandon) Eddie, Janie, John, and Jim McGoogan, special grandchildren, Lukas, Oliver and Thatcher Trochman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oren & Imogene Walters, son in law, Shannon Todd, niece, Crystal Aldridge and special great grandchild, Aiden Trochman.
Pallbearers will include, Carson Bailey, Derek Trochman, Jason Walters, Jeffery Walters, Hudson Whitworth and Cody Earnest. Honorary Pallbearers, Shannon Bailey, Lukas Trochman and Brucey Pettit.

Neil Bonner (1974)

Bill was a special man. His passing comes as a shock to myself.

He was a great person to work with, always there if you neede some help.

 

RIP my friend and brother.
