Kurt S. Neifer, 57
POLAND – There will be services at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Clemente Funeral Home and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Nicholas Church, both in Struthers, for Kurt S. Neifer, 57, who passed away at his residence Wednesday morning.
Kurt was born Aug. 7, 1950 in Toledo, a son of Raymond C. and Louise Kovach Neifer and was a life long area resident.
He was a teacher in the Youngstown City Schools and was of the Catholic faith.
Kurt married the former Pamela A. Rickards on Feb. 5, 1971.
Besides his wife, he leaves his parents of Berea; a son, Christopher S. (Amy) Neifer of Boardman; a daughter, Charla (Jacob) Thomas of McDonald; two brothers, Carl R. (Jane) Neifer of North Olmstead and Mark (Debbie) Neifer of Elyria; a sister, Nadine (Frank) Peters of Berea; and three grandchildren, Andrew, Julia, and Ryan Neifer.
Kurt was preceded in death by a brother, Alan Neifer.

Kurt and I were very close in Jr High and High School. In college he was part of a "blind date" group where I met my wife. I last talked to Kurt in the early 80s when he asked me to write a recommendation for him. I wrote "Kurt is a very hard working, intelligent, and loyal individual who will always give his best."R.I.P Kurt
