I don't get here very often, but I'm always so grateful when I do. Ya'll are the best! It's so amazing to me what a truly wonderful, spiritual and loving group of people we have the great privilege of knowing for so many years now. I am touched each time I read what's been shared. Thank you with all my heart for simply being who you are! It just doesn't get any better than this...Love and Hugs!

Margaret, Colleen, Marvin, Steve, Joy, Winona, Kitty, Joe, Betty and others:
Thank you so much for the emails and phone calls you have sent me. Momma's stroke has been devastating for me. It is hard to see your mother in that sort of condition. She is not able to say the things she is thinking. Everyone is called Missy (my oldest daughter). She did actually call me Marian once and then it was back to Missy. She gets so frustrated. She is aware of her surroundings and wants to go back home. I hope and pray that not one of you will have to experience this from any of your family members.

Betty, thank you for the prayer request. You are family....our families has gone through alot together.

Missy and I went to the Nutcracker Market in Houston after leaving the hospital. Oh my gosh! We couldn't even view the different vendors due to so many WOMEN!! I have never seen that many women in one place and literally running to each booth. It was quite funny.

This week will be busy. (Everyone feels I need to get back to reality). My granddaughter Taylor will be having her 13th b'day party at my house Friday. It's a western party and that is what I had for my 13th. I got my first kiss from spend the bottle from gorgeous Mark McBurnett. I was in heaven. Larissa (my youngest) will be having her 22 b'day the 21st. Where has time gone?

I hope you all have a great week and I love you all and pray that you all have a very bless and wonderful Holiday.

Oh what a day I had with JESUS yesterday....news flash...news flash!!!!
READ THIS TRUE STORY.......My friend Jacki told me this amazing story about a man! His name is Ronnie Cummings. He lives in North Richland Hills near Dallas. He is currently a member of Gideons International that give bibles free to over 180 countries! Ronnie has started several ministries...and WOW did GOD take what was horrible and turn it around for GOOD for a man that LOVES GOD!!! I went yesterday to hear the story of Ronnie not because I don't believe in miracles, but because I absolutely want to hear first hand the miracles that GOD does!!!!
Ronnie was born to a family, and told from the time he could remember that some people are just born bad. Well, Ronnie lived up to what he was told, and by the time he was grown was sentenced to 100 years in the Texas prison sentence. The judge felt he needed to teach Ronnie a lesson because he was always in trouble. All he could think about was escaping, and did escape for 26, days and was caught after a manhunt and ...sentenced to 125 years! No way would he ever be paroled with 125 years!!! He used drugs in prison to deaden the pain, and was very lonely. He did not receive a visit for 7 years, and not a letter for 5 1/2 years! His Mother and Dad passed away while in prison, and Ronnie left his wife and 4 children fatherless as he was in prison. He began to have nightmares that he was clawing his way out of a casket, and the dream was so vivid that he scratched on his nails down to the bone on the wall. He was placed in a padded cell, and considered to be very dangerous. He only had a floor and a hole in the floor, was dressed in boxers, and froze to death every night. He was so bored, and begged the guards for something to read, but they felt he would make a weapon to escape. One day he woke up from a nightmare, and there on the bean hole where they served his medicine every four hours was a Gideon Bible. This was the last thing he said that he ever wanted! He picks it up, and turns to the back, and reads, "GOD LOVES YOU!" He cried out to GOD, "no one loves me!" He next read the wages of sin is death, GOd gives the gift of eternal life...then who so ever calls on the name of the LORD will be saved. "GOD, make the voices stop, the nightmares stop. Then in the corner of the cell he saw a light the size of a pin...then this light was shining all over his cell...He was so cold from only wearing boxer shorts, but his whold body became warm, and he felt the love of GOD...loving and loving on him. He said it seemed for along time...and then he fell over curled up and slept. He woke when the guards came into his cell to give him his medicine...he said, "no wait...I have seen JESUS...I am okay." I don't need this medicine." They thought he was crazy and gave it to him anyway, but after a week of telling them about JESUS and seeing a change in him they stopped giving him the medicine. Ronnie asked to see a pastor, but they only had a chaplain. The chaplain told Ronnie that he had met with JESUS, and now was a son of GOD...saved and could start a new life. They released Ronnie into the mainstream prison where he started a prison bible study in the worst of the worst criminals. After 3 years Ronnie was called at mail time to get his letter. He was shocked because he had not had a letter in 5 1/2 years. It was folded and stapled, and he took it back to his cell to read. It had the Texas seal on it saying that he had been pardoned. He thought that someone had played a dirty trick on him, and called the chaplain. The chaplain agreed it was a joke, but Ronnie asked him to check it out. The Chaplain did, and found that it was authentic, and the governor of Texas had signed it. Ronnie had no meetings with the parole board before this...remember he was sentenced to 125 years! On August 1991 Ronnie Cummings was released from prison with a full pardon, and reunited with his family. Who did this? JESUS of course...and also cured him of Hepatitis C from drug useage!!!! He has given his testimony in 7 different countries, and the LORD uses him mightly. I heard it for myself, but I didn't doubt it...GOD does turn BAD for GOOD for those that love HIM. He changed the heart of a man that knew nothing but sin into a big ole, loving teddy bear man!!! I praise you MY KING for your miracles, and for loving us so much!!!!!

WOW, WOW....so never give up, and if you are having difficult times...give it all to GOD...HE loves you so much that HE GAVE HIS ONLY SON TO SAVE YOU!!!

I love you!
GOD bless you with a spectacular week!
JOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :0)

Ok...now for my happy notes to ya'll! Sorry the story was so long...huge testimony!!!
Karen...hey girl..Carrol said December 12th for the get togehter!!!
Marvin...thank you for the encouraging words! LIFE IS SHORT...surround yourself with loving kind people, and also GOD has seen me through! For that I am so thankful!!!
Marian...GOD bless your heart sweetie. I am so sorry for you, and pray that GOD comfort you and your family. I have oftened wondered why people suffer, but I have realized that GOD wants his children to have compassion for each other during the hard times...to help and love each other. If there weren't any hard times then we would not pray, have compassion, and love each other. I know the suffering, and may GOD surround you and your family with all of HIS LOVE. XXXXOOOO

Hey Miss Kitty...so sweet! How are you? Still using the products...love that firming cream! My daughter in law, Katy said my skin has never looked this good! Well, at least it feels good!!!

Oh Patti.....Joy is hyper active...I don't take drugs for this! Just love the action!!! Since losing weight I am more energetic!!! hahahaha bouncing off the walls!!! I went dancing the other night...every dance like a 20 year old! I have hit a 42 pound plateau...but will start up again soon! My goal is 48 by the end of Novemeber!!! Love you girl? Are you going to the gathering Dec 12th?

Sweet dreams everyone...love youuuuuuueeeeeeeeeee!
JOY!!!

JOY THAT WAS AN AWESOME STORY!!!! God is so good to us. Thank you for sharing that with us. " No man cometh to the Father unless the father first draws him." God took a drug using man like myself years ago and healed my body. I am so thankful for his love and mercy. So many of our generation dealt with the drug problems of the day. Some came out better than others. Our God is a forgiving Father and is always willing to show his mercy. He has blessed me over the years in more ways than I can express here. I pray for all my old friends who have dealt with these issues over the years. It was not just our generation but it would influence so many after us also. May God our father cure this land from the curse of drugs both prescriptive and non-prescriptive that plague our country and the world.

Well gang, FRANKIE is here!!!

She was born at 8:08 this morning. She weighed 7lbs. 14oz. and was 19 inches. I wanted to post a picture but I could only figure out how to add it to my profile. So any suggestions?

She is very cute. Sad part is, since I have two major papers and 2 final exams, I can't get to see her til after Saturday. I will send pictures when I get some and also when I figure out how to post them on this thing. Thanks for your prayers for this little precious one. I will be sure to tell her when she is older.

Thank you sweet friends. Nana

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY!

Dare to dream, Spend 5 minutes every day thinking of what would be
the nicest thing that could happen to you. So many times we get so
caught up in life and how to live it that we lose our ability to go for
the things that truly matter!

God Bless!

LIVE FOR TODAY

How we live today
affects all of our tomorrows.
Remember that turning down
the wrong road is part of the journey,
and finding our way back is
the challenge.

Don't forget what is truly
important, are the simple and basic things
in Life, Honesty, Pure Emotions,
surrounded by the majestic beauty of Nature.

You need to smell the clean air
after the rainfall and appreciate
the good in things.

Each of us must be responsible
to do our part in order to help preserve a beautiful world

the waterfalls, the oceans, the mountains,
large green farms, and puffy pink clouds,
the sunrise and sunsets, rainbows,
hummingbirds and butterflies,

We need to remember, that we
are only here for a short time, and
that everyday should count for something.

Be grateful for the Sunshine,
and find, Hope in the rainbows.

Laugh from your soul,
and always hold on to your dreams.

Someone you know needs to hear from you.
Let them Know how much you care.

REACH FOR THE STARS

Many there are, who have reached for the stars
in pursuing their ultimate dream.
Then faltered and fell, unable to rise,
when the challenge proved more than it seemed.

You can not be strong and certain in life
if you don't slip and fall now and then.
What good does it do if you stumble and fall
if you won't rise and try once again.

The sky is the limit, to dream is okay,
and the future is as big as the sky.
How can you know what your future might bring,
if you're not even willing to try.

The greatest of all have made some mistakes,
but the secret to winning is this.
To be willing to rise and try once again,
and next time your mark you won't miss......
