Hope everyone had a great 4th! I spent mine at church and we had a great time. Over 50 of us from my company are headed to Austin for a DSHS Summit. I can't wait to get there. My son lives in Kyle with my two granddaughters so I will definitely be making a couple of stops there. I can't believe it is less than 2 months before our reunion. I hear where everyone is losing those pounds, but ME. Guess I better start soon. Or maybe, I'll stay like this. My pantry is way too close to everything in my house! Happy belated birthday Margaret and everyone else having one. Have a great weeikend. Janice, hope your dad is doing better.

I've been dead sick the last two days. Felt like I was on my death bed. But a few cupcakes, a twinkie and a 3 muskateer perked me right up. Thank God for vitamins like those!

Here's more trivia. Does anyone ACTUALLY know what Dow had in that red and white checkered tank at Plant B? I was always told it was something like nitroglycerin - which I doubt. More than likely it was agent orange. Is the tank even still there? It's been a while since I drove into Freeport that way. Is it still red/white checkered?

Dickie, not sure if its still there but it was the ammonia plant.

*Ahem* In trying to change the July 4th background, I inadvertently erased items on the homepage. The biggest problem is I don't really remember what I had there . . . except I do remember a countdown clock . . . I think there was a request to register ASAP because we have deposits and bills, etc. to pay for the reunion. I'm just sorry . . . can I get kicked off NOW? My apologies to all.

This was 40 years ago today (July 5th). Janice Mangum was my Maid of Honor (and BEST friend). I was surprised when reading other classmates' profiles to find that several have actually been married longer.

Lovely picture Winona, you are beautiful..Yes i'm amazed at how long everyone has been married. My sister Theresa has been married to Robin Burnett for 36 years, and i thought that was a long time now i see people married for 40yrs plus. That is wonderful. I hope everyone enjoyed the 4th.

Robin lived across the street from us (caty-corner from the Catholic Church on 6th Street) and his parents later bought our house when we moved to 7th Street.

I called my Dad and he said it was Hydrogen and the tank is no longer there. It was called the CRP plant. I remember when I was a little girl he would tell us if it blew up it would destroy everything.

THANKS FOR PLAYING, MARVIN! Too bad Dee Allen can't follow directions and remains locked off of the site. I've emailed him twice today and called him once - will try again tomorrow. Apparently he only logs on at work.

Okay, whoever wants to jump in, copy and paste to your post, then add your line.

The Hotel Bill
Three people check into a hotel. They pay $30 to the manager and go to their room. The manager finds out that the room rate is $25 and gives the bellboy $5 to return to the guests. On the way to the room the bellboy reasons that $5 would be difficult to split among three people so he pockets $2 and gives $1 to each person. Now each person paid $10 and got back $1. So they paid $9 each, totaling $27. The bellboy has another $2, adding up to $29.
Where is the remaining dollar?
