Carrol,
I am going to wear casual capris & sandals for the game because I think it will still be hot. Sat night I think I am going to wear slacks, sandals & a comfortable blouse/jacket. I don't have any blue mascare - may have to go find some. I agree that whatever it is - the clothes should be cool & comfortable!! I know we all are going to look great. I think age has been kind to us all - we still look pretty good & definitely much wiser!! See you in 2 weeks.

Carrol, I am wearing a black long sundress but it's "alittle" dressy. That totally did not make any sense but the best way I can describe it. I just thank God that I have the opportunity to be there and still healthy. I am also planning on making our last (ohhhhhhhhh) meeting. I will be staying in Clear Lake for that week to train for my CPS but will drive down and head back after the meeting. I can't believe time is nearly here! I, too, thank all of the committee members. Everyone of them has worked very hard. Isn't it funny how some things never change. I have not heard any men talking about what they are wearing....oh, with the exception of one. OK know Carrol, fest up and tell us what you are wearing.

Joe, yes the one and only Triumphs ( without the BJ) They are still smokin. I think we need to have an old Angleton Dance and see if they could come. Carol, can't wait to see you. Micheal, so glad everything is OK, We can compare battle scars. Your face, my leg. Cast comes off on Friday. Will stop off at the nail place for a pedicure. Can you imagine what the little Vietnamese ladies will be saying when they see my leg and three layer (at least) of dead skin. Yuk

Beverly Johnston...happy, happy, happy you are coming to the reunion!!! It has been 40 years since I have seen you! I am still tall...maybe shrunk an inch or two!! LOL!

Marian...you have such a great attitude...you are pretty inside and outside!!!! Your dress sounds gorgeous!!!

Jim...what is TMI Joy grew some buttocks..."tickled me immensely"...haha...too much information?!!! LOL !!!FYI... You have no sympathy for me...wah, wah, wah !!!!! "IWABS" Jim...it was a big shock!!! Most people are stung on the arm, neck, back, shoulder!!! I find humor in most things..and laugh at myself!!!!

Carrol.....Hmmmmmm I am going shopping with Janie on Sunday for some new clothes! I have waited to decide what to wear because most of my clothes are baggy. Oh, I am not skinny Joy, but sure feel good!!! I did not realize the carbs were making me feel bad!! I will keep you posted! What are you wearing? Hey we jumped from 174 attending the reunion to 187!!!!!! Yipppppppppppeeeeeee!!!

Michael that is terrific news. Isn't it amazing what the poewer of God through the power of the people can accomplis.

I too got good news this week. Before surger last Dec my turmor markers were 3600, after surgery it was 1100, recently they have been around 600, but this week they ar down to 250...the ultimate goal is 0...so we are getting closer. Will have a CT scan on Monday...and have scheduled only 3 more chemo infusions. Hopefully the will be the last ones. Yippeeeeee! Thanks to everyone for thoughts and prayers

OMG! Girls, I have found the best of the best boutique/shop EVER. After a long day at work, I decided to call Larissa, my youngest, to meet me at Maria's store. As we got there, Maria was locking up for the night and when she saw it was me, she invited us in. The second we walked in, we went totally crazy. Larissa and I both are "girly" girls and we had a blast. Maria has everything you can imagine including BLING, shoes, clothes, jewelry (my weakness), gift baskets, toys, etc. etc. etc. My two year old grandson, Kamden, immediately found a UT football that matches his little UT football uniform. While in Brazosport, you have to visit Maria's shop.

Joy, thanks for the nice words. My dress is not nearly in the "gorgeous" category but it will be cool and comfortable. You need to post pictures of the new Joy. Have you heard anything from Ann McMichael? I would really like to see her again.

Marian...sounds like you are having fun! I am a girly girl too, and so is Jolie! We got all dressed up in white dresses today, and had lunch, hot tea, and she had a cookie!! I just watched her eat it...drooling!!!! Hey, where is that store? I will have to do a little shopping when I come for the reunion!! LOL!!!
No, I have not heard from Ann McMichaels? I hope she comes too! I wish I knew how to get in touch with her. Does anyone have her email address or phone number?
I did post some pictures at my birthday dinner with my sister Janie! (lost 8 more since then!) By the way girls...Janie is getting alot of compliments on her skin...by Faces of JOY!!!! My program works...stay on the program!!!

Just in from the Mighty Michael Poehl:

More good news on the pathology front following my surgery.
The pathologist thinks it is an oncocytoma :

but there is a chance it is a very rare form of cancer which the pathologist ran a stain for - but results won't be complete until next week.
Neither Dr. Briggs, my ENT, nor the pathologist think it is the rare cancer, but the pathologist will not sign off until the results are complete.

Had my drain plug removed today - so getting ready to take a pain pill, and a nap....
Stitches are scheduled to be removed next Tuesday, and golf could resume a week to 10 days folloiwing their removal. YEAH !

Thanks for all your support, prayers and concerns. REALLY, REALLY appeciate it.

Joe Ballard Well this is another call out to those that are planning to come to Joy's beach house after the game Friday night for a get together and a camp fire if thats possible. Marian and Joy are we still on for this. I have heard from a few people and this is just a check in for me.

Michael, glad to hear you are healing. Girls (I still like to be called a girl. tee hee) I don't know what I am wearing. Cool and casual for the game and on Sat for Bunco--causal and Sat. night I don't know. I guess I will see if the stores have anything that will fit. Probably a sparkle top and slacks. Sunday I will wear capries and blouse. I don't think the High School Galley requires very dresses clothes.

Joy, remember when I made you a dress for the Tirp (sp??)dance. I still remember making that dress. Can't wait to see all of you gals and guys. Yes, it is getting very close. I posted pictures of my kids this week. Thought I would finally get around to it before the big event. Katherine, my daughter is getting married in April. I am starting the big push to get in shape for it. Will start a conditioning class in 2 weeks. I hope I am able to do the classs. This getting old stuff is not fun.
