Harriet was my friend and influenced me far more than she knew. Years ago we met for lunch after a reunion when she was in HR at Iowa Electric - what a strong woman! "Jesus wept."

Harriet was a great lady. Warm, kind, brave and strong. And just as sunny and a tad silly.

It was through Class Creator that we connected after so many years.  Thank You!

Ann Duggan summed it up very well. Harriet was warm, kind, strong, upbeat and a tad silly. Harriet had a gift that allowed her touch people in a special manner that one will remember. I will miss this special lady.

I first met Harriet when in grade school at Polk. We were in Camp Fire group together and went to Camp Hitaga at the same time. Harriet was such fun and was the best tentmate and friend.

I was hoping to see her at our reunion and was sad that her health prevented her from attending.

Thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends who will certainly miss that wonderful woman.

Harriet is really special to me. We met as students at Polk School, and then, like Anne Miller and Diane Beaty, we were in the same Camp Fire Girls group. I remember Harriet and I looking at each other and laughing as we gobbled up the wonderful sugary treats we had at the Camp Fire Girls meetings. Harriet and I played together after school, and we would laugh until we both just about ran out of breath. I'm so glad I got to know Harriet, and I know she touched many lives with love, caring and laughter. Harriet was so strong. I think she brought a lot of delight to God!
