Several of you have asked for hotel recommendations and our reliable hotel coordinator, Virginia Roberts Childers, has acted on this and used her credit card to secure a recommended hotel of choice. It is one you can see from Montgomery Inn Boat House, walk from or take a short taxi ride. They are holding five rooms at this price in Ginny’s name.

You can book now for $149 versus the later rate of $165.
In the past we have used the Millenium Cincinnati which is the largest hotel in downtown in the heart of Cincinnati. It is about two miles away from the Boat House which is about a 30 minute walk for those looking for exercise. An easy cab ride or drive to the valet parking connected to Montgomery Inn.
Millennium Hotel 150 West 5th street $124.00 to $129.00 depends on 1 King size bed or 2 Double beds. If you have AARP or AAA you get about a $13.00 discount.
As we all know hotels move their prices with the infamous supply and demand curve and we checked Expedia. Com which allows everyone good options. The Crown Plaza is convenient to I 71 on Pfeiffer and has today’s rate at $94. About 16 miles up I71 and can get some traffic during rush hours.
The Weekend we chose, September 15-18 has a lot of local activities and you might want to book early.
The Countdown Clock on our Woodward 1959 Class Site states we have 99 Days until we all celebrate the class turning 75………..Let’s get ready !

In 1953 the Woodward Class of 1959 came together from many communities and for many of us it was our first learning of any type of diversity. What we did not know then is that it was a great era of American history. Maybe the greatest ! A common dominator of those who lived the years was the world of “Rock and Roll.”
As we look back at our years from 1953. as 7th Graders, until our graduation in 1959 we were living in the golden age or birth of Rock and Roll. Or as this linked article called it……..” Happy Days of the 1950’s.”
