It has been brought to my attention and with deep sadness am announcing, that we have lost fellow classmate, Ken A Roberts.  I had received minimal info on his passing with little to no information to follow up on or verify, which is why this is so late!  I apologize if this information is inaccurate!  We are always sad to lose any of our classmates and I do appreciate any notices/updates on everyone, but please do send me info that I can verify!  I do not want to publish any of this kind of announcement incorrectly!  If there is any further information that I can publish, please do let me know.

Ken Roberts, 71, of Springfield, died on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at his home.

He was born on June 25, 1952, in Auburn, IN, the son of Verlin and Laurine (Bobay) Roberts. Ken married Marjorie Wirth on October 3, 1981, at First United Methodist Church in Park Ridge, IL.

Ken loved playing chess, camping, photography, woodworking, soap making, playing his guitar and listening to music.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Ken is survived by his wife, Marjorie W. Roberts of Springfield; son, Daniel E. Roberts of Springfield; two brothers, Ron (Phyllis) Roberts of San Antonio, TX and Barry Roberts of Elgin, IL; two sisters, Kathy (Steve) Smith of Rockford, IL and Jodie (Eric) Keating of Carol Stream, IL; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cremation was provided by Lincoln Land Cremation Society.
