In Memory

Donna Corbett (Clark)

Donna Corbett (Clark)

Donna Corbett Clark        —        May 4, 1046 – December 15, 2022

Donna Louise Clark, longtime resident of Warren, passed away on December 15, 2022. She was 76 years of age.

Donna was born on May 4, 1946, in Minnesota, daughter of the late William and Helen (Hill) Corbett. Her father was in the military, and her family was sent to all parts of the world. Donna was working in France when she met the love of her life, Michael Wayne Clark. They married on September 11, 1965, in Orleans, France. The couple was blessed with four wonderful children and the family settled in Warren.

Donna dedicated her life to her family and was the epitome of a great mother and devoted wife. Her family always came first, and she made sure her children were raised with Christian values in a loving home. Donna had a kindred spirit and a heart of gold. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren became the apple of her eye. Donna devoted her time, as well, to her church, St. Peters Lutheran Church of Eastpointe. She enjoyed her time as a grief counselor for Steven’s Ministry and loved publishing the Newsletter for Lutheran Fraternity of America.

Donna was an avid reader who enjoyed cross-stitching. She loved watching Dancing with the Stars and enjoyed her M & M’s. She loved going to North Branch, camping for 6 months out of the year with her husband; and loved when her family and friends came to visit. Donna lived life with a purpose. She was not only an inspiration but a role model to her children and grandchildren, and to the countless people that she has touched in her lifetime. Donna understood the value of friendship and the compassion and love that she extended to others was a blessing. Although we grieve her passing, we are eternally grateful for our beautiful matriarch who taught us to be more caring, compassionate and loving. Her light will continue to glow in our hearts forever.

Donna is the loving wife of Michael; dearest mother of Robert (Sandie) Clark, Elizabeth (Stanley) Strait, Stephanie (Gary) Geer, David (Stacy) Clark; cherished grandmother of Samantha, Brittany, Courtney (William), Nicholas, Olivia, Jessica (Matthew), Riley, Owen and Julia; adored great grandmother of Alexandra, Ryan, Milo, Maxwell, Lucas and Miles; and beloved sister of Carol Westover, and the late Peggy (Robert) Hards.

A memorial gathering will be held at Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Road, Fraser, Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 3pm until the time of service at 7pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be addressed to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 23000 Gratiot Ave, Eastpointe, MI 48021. Share memories with family at www.faulmannwalsh.com

Donna was a member of our Camp Fire Girls Horizon Club. We were a fairly diverse cast of characters inspired and held together by our leader Mrs. Irvin (Leslie Irvin's mom). Even way back then, Donna was very much the same person described in her obituary.  Albeit quiet in demeanor, she was always a stalwart friend with a great compassion for helping others. Except for our 50th graduation anniversary gathering at Dianne Cloustan's parents house  we did not see Donna  much after graduation, although  we did follow each other on our group facebook page enjoying her many posted photos of her family and North Branch summers.  Even though I know you are in a well earned better place, cygnus venatusi  misses you..
