Tom Wilmart

Thomas Wilmart         September 30, 1946 - January 26, 2019

The Wilmart family is saddened to announce the death of Thomas Martin Wilmart Sr. on January 26, 2019 at the age of 72. Tom was born in Jamestown, North Dakota to Robert & Margaret Wilmart. His family moved to Edmonds, Washington in 1955. He graduated from Edmonds High School in 1964. After graduation, he enlisted in the Navy during the Vietnam War and served on the USS Ticonderoga. After being honorably discharged, Tom returned home to start his career as an electrician.
In 1979 Tom met the love of his life, Marilyn Lawrence, and they have been married for 33 years. Together, they raised their two children, Tommy and Amy along with his three girls Linda, Lisa, & Sara. They moved to Ellensburg in 1992 where he continued to operate T&T Electric. Tom worked in the electrical field for over 50 years and had the pleasure of working with his son, Tommy over the last 15 years. Tommy is continuing his legacy in running T&T Electric and serving our community. Tom made many friends throughout the years. He loved people and never met a stranger. Tom had an unforgettable, big personality. He had the most giving and loving heart and would not hesitate to help a friend in need. His community was very important to him and he showed it through his time and service. Tom loved his family fiercely and cherished every moment he spent with his children and grandchildren. He loved reading, hunting, fishing and being outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Patty. Tom is survived by his wife, Marilyn, his children, Tommy (Morgan) Wilmart of Ellensburg, Amy (Jason) Eckerman of Issaquah, Linda Bogart of Everett, Lisa (Scott) Jackson of Ellensburg, Sara (Greg) Singer of Ellensburg; three grandchildren, Tate & Elsie Wilmart and Charlie Eckerman. As well as his sisters Connie (Larry) McKee of Marysville, and Janet Biggs.
