2021 Wild ‘n Crazy Raffle

The Garden Grove High School Alumni Association will be holding a raffle the day of the GGHSAA Centennial Celebration on Saturday, September 18, 2021.  As usual, the grand prize will be a 50" HDTV.

Again, we are accepting donations from the various classes for Raffle prizes. We have friendly competition each year, in which members of specific classes put together prize baskets. They have always been absolutely imaginative & amazing.  This year, there will be 3 trophies given out to the class with the best prize, (per ticket sales). We will keep them in the appropriate Decade panel in the Argonaut Hall of Fame each year.

No contribution is too small. Please also consider donating products or gift certificates to include in these baskets (we have a terrific committee who can create amazing gift baskets!), or cash donations.  We will give out your business cards or fliers to make your generosity known to ticket buyers. We do limit the value of the prizes to $500. If you collect more than that from your classmates, please consider donating the overage directly to the alumni association.

Listed below are some raffle contribution ideas:

  • Tickets (Sporting Events, Concerts, Amusement Parks, Movies)
  • Business related, Cookies, Teas, Coffees, Candy, Jams/Jellies, Wine, Gourmet Food, or use your imagination)
  • Lottery Tickets
  • Gift Cards (Stores, Restaurants, Spa/Beauty etc.)
  • Small Gifts (Small Appliances, DVDs/CDs, Board or Video Games, Books/Cookbooks, Pen/Pencil Sets, Novelty Tee Shirts, Plants, Home Décor, etc.)
  • Cash/Checks (paid to the order of: GGHS Alumni Association, specify: “Alumni Raffle”)

We are a non-profit 501(c) 3 public charity, EIN 87-0706986, so your gifts are tax deductible.  I will be happy to pick up any contributions (please include business cards) from your establishment, so please contact me.  The deadline for contributions is September 1, 2021. 

If anyone lives locally and would like to be part of the raffle basket committee, you would be most welcome.  This would require maybe two or three committee meetings and a final one to put the prize baskets together. All ideas and suggestions are welcome.
