Nancy had many friends from Garden Grove High. She was close to Mary Heiss, Barbara Soza, Linda Vial, and many others. She had several bouts with cancer and developed liver cancer about 2 months ago. She did lots of volunteer work over the years, and was a wonderful mother, wife, and supportive friend Even in the face of this cancer, she had dignity, courage, and the strength to help us all through this with her. She spoke of her dear friend Mary Heiss often. She never had self pity. I only heard her cry once, when she said," My God, we've been friends for 50 years"! We became friends since 4th grade. I'm glad she is at peace. Barbara Soza Dearen

Aloha, typical GGHS Argonaut if there ever was one; courageous and selfless to the end. I didn't know Nancy, but I recognized her face instantly. Bless her and her family in their time of loss and grief. Seeing a fellow Argonaut leave us is difficult. All of us, those who did and did not know her personally, were still better people because of her bravery and strong heart. God Bless her, her family, and her friends. I know, as an Argonaut myself, we are all diminished by her passing but so happy she touched our lives in some way, large and small. Aloha a hui hou Nancy.Kathi Harrison (Flood) (1969)
This is very sad for me to hear, Altho we did not hang out in school..I remember Nancy and I joking around alot and having little talks about many things. She was the sweetest person. I am glad she had alot of happiness in her life, but saddened that she had to leave so soon. Many Blessings to her family

I met Nancy in 6th grade when we went to Lampson Jr. HS. We were in Mr Levy's Major Work class. She was 1 da older than me!I remember a cute group date we went on to the Strawberry Festival next to Bolsa Grande. I went with Laura Robinson,Gary Bery w/Kathy Quinn, and Warren Brown w/Nancy. We had a fun but awkward nite. I think we may have been chaperoned.
At the time, our class was called THE BRAINS,but I sure felt out of place since I was sure they made a mistake and that everyone in the class was much smarter than me. I still am!
I always liked Nancy and have thought of her often over the years. I truly beleive that it is not the time we spend on earth, but the quality of the time that makes our lives meaningful and aware. Thank you Nancy for being such a strong and generous individual. Kent Rasmussen

Very sad to hear of Nancy's passing, as with a number of classmates as I browse this site for the first time. I really got to know Nancy in my Senior year then we stayed friends while attending Fullerton Jr. College. She was a real sweet heart. Rest in Peace, Nance!
