Barry was in the Marines, Viet Nam and he was declared missing in action May 10th, 1968. His Father passed away in 1970. His Mother thought for many years that he was still alive since they said he was MIA. She passed away on March 16, 2008. She was very active as a Gold Star Mom. In August of 2005, his remains were found along with nine others . There was a news article in the papers about the finding of the remains. Try google and his name and you can read it... Barry's sister, Ginger Hempel passed in an auto accident on December 24, 1975. His Dad, Barry and Ralph Jones were neighbors and best friends...
