Lynton Ellisor (1968)

I ran into Lex at a health club in downtown Houston of all places back in the 80's. At one time he was on my Facebook but doesn't seem to be on there now. I looked on LinkedIn and I think I found him. Hudson partnership in Houston which is a construction company. He was a great quarterback and just a darn nice guy from what I can remember.

Larry #3010,  I have worked on about 3 other reunions and so far as to my knowledge there has not been anything in the works yet. We do have a couple of years however, but *DO* need to have one as it will be our 50th...WOW!  doesn't seem possible. Have a wonderful day!

I'm Class of '70. Only reunion I went to was the 10th reunion. I had a nice time and want to go to the 50th FOR SURE. I've been watching to see anything about the planning for the 5oth. I wish they would hold in south of Houston, in Galveston County. I've been down here for almost 20 years and love it. Who knows, we'll see.

Hey guys-there have been conversations about a 50th for class of '69 and I definitely want to be included-I know a few others do as well!

It's good to see all the talk about reunions! I for sure am looking forward to helping with the next one.

Roger I think if you would like to see it held in Galveston or Galveston County start looking around for a good affordable spot. The cost of the venue is always a big expense. I think the sooner the better and get a better price maybe. I think it would be fun to have one in that direction ~ not that we are in the same class but you are in the same graduating class as my sister and I could always come along as her date! (Haha) A night in Galveston is always a good time!

I wonder if the school cafeteria is usable for some event? A multi class get together would be fun there but not sure if that would be allowed. I may have to call and find out. Even a tour of the old school would be fun. I was there a few years back at a dedication and they have changed and remodeled it so it is somewhat different from when we were there. The front halls were changed up ~ I didn't get to the lunch room area though we went to the auditorium and then to the library for refreshments.

Good luck with all the future reunions and if anyone finds a good spot share with the others on the places and prices. If we all work together on this the better we could get!

Have a good Week-end everyone

Judy

I spoke with Connie that has headed up so many of our reunions and I thank her so much for that! She is soon retiring (well deserved) so I will be heading up the plans for our Sam Houston 50th. We HAVE to do this! A little early yet, but in the Fall we will have a meeting to discuss what we would like to do.  Barbara Toler last name is Woodyard  lol  I am on FB so if you want to msg me if I we are not friends yet, that is fine.

Thanks it's nice to still be considered a  "Younger Kid"

Ricky #3024

There were a couple of posts on here a few months back where people said they had plots they were wanting to sell. I looked back to February of 2016 and didn't see them so it was prior to that. Good Luck if you are selling some plots or trying to buy some.

March 1st ~ where has the first of the year gone to ~ seems like we just had Christmas and it's already tax time again!!!

Have a good Day!

Todd, it's always nice to hear from classmates of our 1969 graduation class. However, talking about funeral plots doesn't appear to me to be a good way to stay in touch ... lol. Actually, I. Ought mine many years ago, and now my doctor says that with my semi- low  mood pressure that I'll probably live another 25 years or so.  In that case, I may have jumped the gun and bought my plots way too soon. Off on another more pleasant subject, do you still live in Houston or the Houston area? Are you retired? I worked for 37 years in the International oil business, big am  ow finally retired and live on Padre Island South of Corpus Christi. I  light my first house and have lived here on Padre since 1991 and I can tell you, it was a relief to get away from the Houston traffic. Let me know how your life has gone so far ..... oilmancan@yahoo.com
