Hope everyone survived all the storms we had over the week-end. We got 3-1/2" rain.

Went to Houston this week-end for Donna Seibert Scofield celebration of life. She grew up in the old neighborhood and went to Scarborough Elementary ~ Patrick Henry and I think a year at Sam Houston. Her Brother Mike Seibert and Terry Seibert were there.

She will be missed!

One thing we talked about was how short life can be, and we should tell our family and friends what they mean to us while we have the time. Some talked about not seeing their family as much as they should. Some even said they didn't know where some relatives lived ~ if any of you have family or friends you are in search of let us know and we will help search for them. My firend Martha has some good web sites for searching for family or anyone ~ Adoptions  ~ missing people. Let us know, she is willing to look them up for you. She was able to help us out with a cousins address and helped a friend locate adoption papers.

No harm in asking!

Thanks and I just want to let all of you know we enjoy seeing you on here and lets get some chatter going!!!!

Who can remember walking or scooting across the pipeline that ran from Lakewood over Hall's Bayou to Deuster. We use to so we could meet up with our friends at Shady Lane Park! Did yo ever do that?  I was more of a scooter than a walker!

Hey Judy!

Did you ever know the Ruliison family..... Carolyn, Ernest, Eddie (twins/Eddie has gone to heaven), and Wanda?. All graduated from Sam in the 60s. Attended Melrose Baptist Church. The family lived over on Triple off of Aldine Westfield. Wanda married a nice guy from I think Michigan? They may have relocated to Michigan. Super nice family.

Thanks

Buddy

#3058. Buddy Vassar....I knew the Rulison family very well.  Went to school with Carolyn Rulison and attended Melrose Baptist Church with all the Rulison's.  I worked after school at the Melrose Baptist Day Care for Mrs. Moore.  I believe Carolyn and her husband live in Cleveland, Texas at the present time.

Phyles 3068. I am having same problem as we are having our 55th reunion (class of 1962)
If you have cell phone numbers, you might try texting them with your full name and their name in text (to link name/ number). Last night I texted 7 people and heard back from 5. Some don't respond because they haven't made up mind. Also you might go to Facebook and see who you can find. Just throwing that out. I am open to any suggestions, too.

I wonder if anyone would like to have a 1971 Colonneh SHHS yearbook?  It belonged to my brother, Charles McDowell.  If so, please send me a private message.  I want $500 for it.

Just kidding about the money, LOL.

Thanks

I am so sorry to hear of Greg's passing. We both gre up on Courtshire, a little street where all the kids - and almost every home had some - played together and ran in and out of one another's' homes. I was fond of his older sisters, Gail and June. R.I.P., Tony.

Tony Parker's passing makes me sad.  I remember him as a good guy.  He was a good friend to everybody, smart, worked hard.  I think everybody who knew him liked him.  His passing is a loss for us all.  Too bad he couldn't have made it to our next reunion.  I would have loved to see him again. Its too bad that so many of us in the class of 68 are gone now.  Its just hard for me to believe so many. Another one we lost recently that I would have liked to see again was Aurora.

For those who knew my father, Less, and my mother, Pat when they owned Rainbow Roller Rink I want to let you know that mother joined him in the arms of our Savior a couple of weeks ago. She was 88 and died within four days of being exactly 52 years apart. She will be missed and along with dad they really loved all you folk going in circles between 1959 and 1965. Mother spoke regulary throughout the years about all the fun they shared with you KIDs. The skating, sock hops, birthday parties etc were but a few of the memories. She is now out of pain. God bless all and your families.

Many memories of skating at Rainbow Roller Rink....I gave my kids the same fun times at Silver Wings in el Campo.  Such great, clean fun for kids.  Wish there were more out there.  Blessing on your family in your time of grief.
