Living in Eugene for the past ten years. Retired from substitute teaching in 2009. Missed the kids, so am volunteering at the U of O Museum of Natural History and Culture. Touring the exhibit hall with school groups and the public. The Columbia Plateau is my favorite area depicted in the museum. Come visit when you are in town!



Hope to explore more of Oregon in the years to come. There is always something around the corner that we didn't know. We love Oregon!

Looking back, I can't believe how far away those high school rivals were in travel time and distance. Going in style in Jennifer Smith's parents car was so cool. It was big enough for us kids to stretch out and nap if we wanted. No seat belts to constrain us! Stopping for curly fries in The Dalles was the best.
Going to the state basketball tournament in Eugene was great fun and excitement. The dance team performed at Mac Court. Cowboy Joe was the song and we slapped our thighs while jumping. Those dances at the student union were the hot topic at the motel on 7th Ave. where we stayed. We tried to eavesdrop on the other LaGrande girls by holding a drinking glass to the wall. Don't think we heard any secrets as it didn't work very well. Good times!
