My close friend thru high school and into college. As I remember, he and I were the first out of the building upon graduation in 1965. We planned a trip across the country on Route 66. He stopped to see me in Amarillo, TX as he was making that trip. He served in Germany with the US Army. He died in the summer of 1969.

Linda Smith (Meiers) (1966)
I had the honor of growing up one house away from Phil on 13th Street, and knew the whole family
very well, and loved everyone of them. He probably never knew how many people loved him so
much! Phil and his younger brother were my best friends. I have some great photos of
them and they were the very best 'cowboys' on the block. So many wonderful memories of growing
up in that time, with Phil and his family. You really broke some hearts that summer of '69.
