Morning, old friends. Haven't stopped by for awhile, and now that I have read the last several entries there is so much to comment on. I know I won't hit everything, but I'll do my best.
Gary, so much to say to you. You keep the mischief on our site for sure, while at the same time educating us. For instance, we finally have a possible answer to why the chicken crossed the road. She was trying to escape from the rabbit! Thank goodness for security cameras, or we might never have known. As for your pill taking vs. eating dilemma...dude, good luck with that.
Don, I am watching "The Bible", and was watching when Satan tempted Jesus. I immediately said, "Oh my gosh, that looks just like Obama." I offer no commentary, just observation...hmmm. I am enjoying the series. I compare it to the actual text, and while there have been some glaring errors, I find the essence of the message to be accurate. On the other side, some things have been portrayed that actually did occur but had gone unnoticed by me through previous study. I think it's an excellent springboard for conversation and study.
Regarding upcoming events that were mentioned---David Landers, I do hope to hear that your thyroid surgery went OK, and that all is well. Teresa Burt Colwell, I wish you a WONDERFUL birthday tomorrow. I love you.
I wish each of you a special kind of Easter Sunday. The kind that is filled with pretty weather, egg hunts, and frilly dresses on little girls, but not so much that the true meaning of the day is overshadowed. I miss the pretty Easter Sundays in Georgia, where I could always count on warm weather, and pretty flowers in bloom. It's a sunny Saturday day here, but cold. Though only rain is predicted for tomorrow, we have had several Easters when there were snow flurries. My daffodils however, look like they might pop open this very day! Joy! Dick and I will be going with a small group from our church and serving Easter dinner at the homeless shelter in Dayton tomorrow. It has been a long time since we have been able to do that, and since we had made no special plans, we thought we'd enjoy going again. Not because we are all that "good", because that sho' nuff' ain't true, but we always get more out of it than we give.
Again, God bless each of you. Like Connie said, I also think of "home" often, and the life and people who gave me so much. It's always a pleasant trip down memory lane, and the sights I see seem to get more beautiful each time my mind goes there. Love to all!
