I burned my candle at both ends. It did not last the night. But to all my foes, and any friends, it gave a beautiful light.

I hold two post-graduate degrees and am currently enrolled for a third. Currently, I am working on a book, accepted for publication, titled, "When the Vows Break." My avocation is writing poetry and I have been published in nine Anthologies of Poetry. Although I'm on marriage number three, this one's a keeper. He's almost 9 years younger than I. We have been together for 14 years but only 'tied the knot' in 2012--I wanted to be very sure. Working as Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs; Continuing Medical Education; and Director of the Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences was truly an amazing, albeit tiring, position. However, I enjoyed every minute of it. Albeit my physical health is horrific, last month (April 2014) I began my own website: inspirationalexpressions.net.

Won the Woodman of the World Award for History/Geography. That was way back in 1968. My husband, Eladio, was born in Puerto Rico. When we met, I had the stupidity to ask him, "Just when did you become a naturalized citizen?" His response, of course, was: "Jeri, Puerto Rico is a territory of the United States. I was BORN a US citizen!" Boy, and here I thought I was so smart, with all my degrees, awards, accolades, BUT NO REMEMBRANCE OF WHERE ANY OF THE COUNTRIES ARE LOCATED; WHAT REGION BELONGS TO WHAT COUNTRY; AND ALL THE GREAT STUFF THEY TAUGHT ME AT MBHS.

I have a 7 year old granddaughter named Lillian Paige Roberts (my daughter's daughter). I keep waiting for my son Johnathan and his wife, Laura, to provide me with one, but they stay so busy in LA they barely have time to see one another.

Going to Ocean Drive with Margie Lewis and her followers. I worked hard Monday-Friday to make good grades and, while I enjoyed my classes, I sure looked forward to the weekends.

Let's remember those who are no longer with us. We, who by the Grace of God have made it this far, need to be willing to be loving, caring, sharing and not harbor resentments or petty problems we may have had. Life is way too short not to make the most of it and be kind to one another.

The publication date for excerpts from my memoir, WHEN THE VOWS BREAK, has been altered eleven times now. Therefore, I'm about ready to self-publish my book if the publishers revise the release deadline one more time!

I stay very busy penning my poetry; writing yet another book; making all the items for my website; and collaborating with numerous associations including: National Association of Professional Women; World-Wide Branding; and The International Women's Leadership Association. Also, I am dedicated to assisting projects such as Wounded Warriors and the ASPCA as well as advocating against Human Trafficking.

All in all, this old gal puts in 18 hour days/7 days a week. Should have stayed retired!

My son, Johnathan, is a working actor and screenplay writer in LA. He has appeared on Law and Order; Law and Order, SVU; Without a Trace; Criminal Minds, and for three years was star in the TVLand Show titled, RETIRED AT 35. Jessica Walter portrayed his mother and George Segal his father. Johnathan has written a screenplay, which has been accepted and will be on screen in late 2014. Every 3 years, whether I need one or not, he buys me a brand new car. He's my 'Salvation Child.'
