IMPORTANT MESSAGE!!! : IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO DO BEFORE THE REUNION SATURDAY NIGHT. PETALUMA IS HAVING AMERICAN GRAFFITTI DAYS ALL DAY THERE. THEY USUALLY HAVE ONE OR TWO OF THE ORIGINAL CAST THERE AND ABOUT 400 CLASSIC CARS. FRIDAY NIGHT MANY OF THOSE CARS ARE CRUISING DOWNTOWN PETALUMA.

I forget which one asked me this but it was Cliff Harloff.

Yes that was the market off the highway.

Jan, my memories were of the butcher counter as well ha ha. I think that's were my mom hung out the most.

Dave, you looked like a scamp!  I recognize Gary Smith, that's about all.

Diane Raymond (Ball)

Jan, you are so right and on the other side of the space Is Tommy Hinckley.  I recognize many of these people, but can't place the name.

Dave, didn't realize you went to Pueblo Vista and that there was more than one class to a grade.  Is this 6th grade, hard to read.  I went there, too, but I was obviously in a different class, who was your teacher?  Do you remember Double Session and how it worked?

Diane Raymond (Ball)

Sherry Cleek, first one, second row, Pueblo Vista.

Does anyone know if this (or another) site will remain so we can continue these chats long after the Reunion? I for one sure hope so.

Aschermans later became Lawson's Market, owned by Les Lawson.  He kept the contract post office branch there for years, but eventually closed the post office and the store.   After Lawson closed the post office, AC didn't have anything for a while, and later the video store on Poco Way took the contract.  Jack Moser ran that, and finally gave it up because he said it was too much work... Then for at least a year AC didn't have a post office, and people kept bothering the Postmaster in Vallejo about it, and going over his head, we finally got a branch actually run by postal employees.  It was set up in a modular unit used at the Los Angeles Olympics.  It's still there, even though there has been at least one attempt by USPS to close it down.

Diane,

Unfortunately, I'm blanking on the name of the teacher.  It was 6th Grade.

Diane Raymond (Ball)

Dave,

That's ok, it happens.

That's odd that your class didn't have the teacher's names on it.  Mine did and my pictures were different, came in a little blue folder, so you could put the other students names on them.  My teacher was Mrs. Sandburg.  I guess, we could have had, at least, two grades since I was secretary of our class and had to go to another class to take notes, while my arm was in a sling.  I guess, that might have been when my yonger brother, Bob, was teaching me a trick on roller skates (how to turn around on them) and my feet got tangled and I fractured my elbow.

Ken,

We, as the Committee, do want to keep this site up and going.  We need to make sure that we can get ALL our classmates to join, though, as there is an expense to this website.

So, EVERYONE, that's on here, get the word out!!!

Barbara Rawlins is above the school name and I think that might be Steve Glade bottom row second from the left.

Ken~I remember 4th grade in that house on  Amarillo Drive.  It was distracting because some of us were trying to figure out which rooms were the living rooms, dining room, kitchen.....  We probably had recess out in the street.

Imagine a chalk board where the fireplace was supposed to be.

Patricia Carson Brown~ Do you remember any of your teachers from Federal Terrace?  I looked at all my pictures to see if I could recognize you.

Will the Face Book page continue after the reunion?  Maybe a lot more people might want to sign up on the FB page.  I really enjoy seeing the pictures from The Time Machine and all the responses.

We plan to continue the website for a couple of years. My wife's class has used Class Creator for the two years following her 50th reunion and it is still a lively site with more grads coming on board each month. Of course the dialogue will continue. Glenn Dibler and myself will continue to administer.

Hi Gang,

I was really looking forward to seeing everyone tonight, but I seem to have caught the flu, or something.

My regrets, and have a great time...........

Charlene (Cissy) Taylor (Brazil)

I had a great time. Had to leave about 10:00 due to be just plain tired. Many many faces I recognized even though I didn't hang out with them in school.

One of the nicest thing last night was seeing my old boyfriend and prom date, Ron Weien and his sweet wife Maggie. Well, he wasn't old back in the day, but now he is! Haha.

Also, Bill Goerge. You goofy guy you! Loved seeing you. An absolute joy!

Compared my mustache to Bruce's. He won hands down. Haha

Diane, without you guiding me there, I'd have never made it. You looked beautiful. Loved that blue dress!!

so many others. See many if you at the "pic-a-nic"!

I was sorry to have missed what must have been a great event (based on who was on the committee) but an unexpected family trip to the ER got in the way. All is fine now but we did not leave until 9 pm which is getting pretty close to most of our bed times. I will see many of you guys at Ray's next breakfast but missed seeing folks I have not seen in quite a while. Next reunion...?
