David G. Berry

Cissy,

Thanks for making the effort.  I'm surprised that I was even that close to his real name.  I hope he responds.

Dave

Cissy, Brian, Dave B....

Yes, the light bulb went off...but it has been a lot of years since that happened. Just a dim memory now. And definitely not enery efficient...but neither am I.

Dave...you have the Howard story right. The name change had something to do with his father and step father and who was in good graces with him. He was a friend in with the likes of Wally Keller, Ellwin Jobe, Jim Jones, Steve Ceriani, John Farrell, Doug Murray...and more...I knew about his Army days, but lost track after that...

DJ

Speaking of memories...I'm seeing a lot of great old cars from people...here's a fun one...

Dave, do you remember what Howard changed his name, too?  It's still not too late.  Plus, maybe, the phone number for George is still workable and we can get hold of him through it?

According to Howard Tingstrom's facebook page, he lives in Maple Valley, WA.  It is definitely, the Howard, we know and love.

Sandra,

Yes, Mary Ann and I will be at the reunion.  I got the information for Gibson Wood Products from the web, and that did not show who the owner was.  Did George get re-married? last I heard he and Pat had divorced but were stil (more or less) together.  They had two children, Katrina, and a son whose name I cannot remember (old timers disease, don't cha know)  We run into them occasionally around Napa.

Folks,

I just called Gibson Wood Products and George has not been there since 2009. The person I talked to gave me his home phone number and it matched the one in the white pages here in Napa. Unfortunately that number has been disconnected.

Out of all the returned postcards there are not any for George. That means he probably still lives on Sommer Street and has received all three of our mailings.

Over and out from command center

OK...now it's my turn.

Cathy Donohoe...Stayed at your house.  Cedar Gables Inn, right?

Bruce Ericsson...Went to a Giants' game together and someone got their 5,000th hit.  You were very excited.  I hadn't a clue!

Stevie Inman...You tried to be Stephanie in Switzerland, and it didn't work!

Burt Williams...Rode the school bus together when you lived out in Carneros!

Pat Hartle...Moved to Santa Rosa after high school.  Right?

My peeps...Mary Gaghen, Charmy Ann Evans, Susie Anderson, Pam Snider, Stevie Inman...others....

Hope everybody is well and happy!

Thank you, Robert, for trying to locate George. We will miss him at the reunion.

To all those who were wondering about Howard Tingstrom, now Humphrey...He is alive and well.  I sent a "Friend Request" to him, this morning via Facebook and I just received word from him.  Unfortunately, he will not be travel down to the Reunion, as his wife just had knee surgery.  Hopefully, now, that he is connected, I can get him to, at least, stop into the site to say, "Hi".

Hey Bob, send George another postcard letting him know that all the ladies who had a crush on him, back in the day, would love to see him.  laugh  haha!

Diane, that wonderful about Howard. I realized after I sent friend request that he wouldn't know Cissy Brazil. He only knew Charlene "Charie" Taylor.  Talk about name changes!!

because of my knee replacement surgery, I'll be walking with a cane ::sigh::

Cathleen Donahoe (Leonard)

Hi JoAnn!  So happy to hear from you.  You stayed at my house and I remember eating chicken wings at your house.  Funny how some memories stick and others just are gone.  I remember you being a kind and good friend.  As for Bruce, he seems to know/remember everyone who ever lived in Napa in the last century.

Pat Hartle is now in LaQuinta (not sure where that is) and apparently has some health issues that prevent her from coming.  I sent her a note with a snapshot from I think Mary Gaghen or Linda Hubers back patio. Bruce posted her address if you would like to send her a note as well. Linda Huber has been in touch by phone with me and lives in Seattle and is a private investigator with her own agency.  No secrets from her!!

Are you coming to the 'event'.  High school was 2 generations ago and none of us will likely recognize each other.  I hope so.  Looking forward to seeing so many people that I thought I had forgotten but the memories are creeping back in.  Love it!

JoAnn Garcia,

My goodness.  How's one of the cutest & smartest girls in class?  Glad to see you still have no sense of humor -- if you did, you'd be dangerous.  How's your brother?  Are you coming to the reunion?  Hope to see you.

Re: Pat Hartle -- She says she moved to Santa Rosa for a year during High School & then moved back.  I honestly can't recall.

I'd forgotten about the ballgame.  You remember more specifics than I.  (Love the 5,000th hit reference as no one has ever gotten that many.  Still a fan?)  Even though we dated for awhile, I'll forgive your misspelling my name...everyone does.

Does anyone recognize the character in the post below?

What was our Mascot's name?  Yes, he and she, actually, had a name.

Who is under the mask?

George and I were neighbors in the early 70s. He is married to a girl whos maiden name was Hummingbird, her older sister name is Johanna . Hope this will help track him down. See all of you on the 17th.Sammy

Sammy,

Jawana Hummingbird is on Facebook.  I'll try to get in contact with her.

Bruce.  Well, there's a "5" in the stat, anyway!  Eddie Matthews' 500th home run on July 14, 1967.   Thank heavens for the internet.  See you in a couple of weeks!

Cathy.  I saw Mary Gaghen and Susie Anderson yesterday...a pre-reunion lunch.  See you soon!

Burt.  Lucky you!  I was the LAST off.  Oh, the joys of living in the country...

JoAnn you are still amazing.  I thought it was the short-term memory that was supposed to go.  Now my long-term has disappeared as well.  How did you ever track down the date & specifics of that ball game?  I'll have to dig through all my programs to find that game.

I hope Mary & Susie are going too.  Pat Hartle would love to hear from them.

Cathy -- FYI -- La Quinta is a little south of Palm Springs in Southern California; east of L.A., right next to Indio; about 550 miles from Napa.

Charmy Ann, you blew it.  You forgot that I always claimed my hair was orange, NOT red.  Of course now you have to find some first, then try to discern the color(s), & watch it fall out during the course of the discussion. Oh well.

See you guys in a couple of weeks.

I just talked to Jawana Hummingbird. She said her sister was never married to George Gibson. She doesn't know where he is, and neither do I. Sorry, I tried.

I finally found some info. If correct, George's wife's name is Pattie. She's a cosmetologist with her own business. An article in the Napa Valley Register printed an article a few years back that she had a new address for said business. Like I said, IF I am correct. I don't know if they are still married.
