The Sept meeting was attended by 24 members.  Our guest speakers were the boys and girls wrestling coaches.  They spoke about the past season and the future for this year.  The girl’s team did very well and had some girls participate in the state tournament.  Many of the girls are returning and are expected to do very well this year again.  The boys are also expected to do well this year also. 

After our speakers Hank called the meeting to order.

Al Marsteller spoke about the logic the board members used when they decided to award a fourth annual scholarship.  The current members can enjoy seeing the fruits of their labors over the years of fund-raising.

Bob Banzhoff mentioned that past Parkland cheerleaders will have the opportunity to cheer along with the current cheerleaders at a PHS home football game this year.  We have 3 past cheerleaders that are active club members – Carol Kuhns, Charlene Miller, and Lynn Banzhoff.

Dine and Donate is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept 17, 2024 at PJ Whelihans on Broadway.  All purchases, gift cards, and take out orders will earn the club 15%.  Purchases must be made that day and you must mention TAVC.

Election of officers and board members will be held at the November meeting. Anyone interested in a position please contact any officer or board member.

There was no news from the floor so the meeting was adjourned.

Our speaker will be Katrin Sundstrom from Parkland CARES Food Pantry and possibly the golf coach.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone there.
