Trojan Alumni Varsity Club Newsletter November 2025
Our guest speaker was Sawyer Marstellert. He is a senior at Parkland High School and a member of the hockey and baseball teams. His first love is baseball and is planning to play baseball at Eastern University next year. He has had an interesting baseball “career” since he has been a bat boy for the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs for the last several years. He shared many interesting facts with the members such as Triple A and major league players use different balls than the minor league teams and the bat boys have to rub down all the balls before every game which is usually 100 balls! He has had the chance to meet many of the Phillies players over the years when they come to the Pigs to rehab. He was a very interesting young man and we wish him well in his college endeavors.
Hank called the meeting to order and the treasure’s report and minutes were read and approved. Our investments are continuing to increase.
There were 22 members in attendance.
Rick stated there were no new brick orders.
Dennis opened the floor for any nominations for the officer or board positions. Since there were none, the current officers and board agreed to serve next year. The members voted unanimously to approve the slate.
On a sad note, Bart Friebolin passed away October 18.
The December gathering will be a social event with no business meeting. It was suggested that we change the menu for December. Jeff will take care of that.
There was no further new business from the members so the meeting was adjourned.
Next Meeting December 2, 2025
