Our guest speaker was Steve Ott.  He is in his 6^th season as head coach of the Track and Field team at PHS.  Steve has been a member of the staff since spring of 2002.  He has a long Parkland history as his dad is a Parkland grad, his mother was a Parkland teacher and he is a 1997 Parkland graduate.  He started his presentation with PHS track and field trivia questions and gave T-shirts to the winners!  He spoke about the girl’s relay team state champions as well as how well the entire team did at the state competition.  He shared the many records still held by track and field team alumni as well as new records held by present athletes.  He gave a very interesting and stimulating presentation.

The meeting was called to order.  There were 24 people in attendance including Ed Rabenold’s daughter visiting from Colorado.  This was a very short meeting as we had no new business to discuss.

Rick stated the bricks ordered for this year are complete and he will be installing them at the monument as soon as he can.  He has to do it on a Sunday when the campus is empty of students.

There was no further new business from the members so meeting adjourned.
