What did you do during the first 5 years or so after graduation?

Associates degree from PCC, while still working at Lourdes. Worked at Tommy Blair, Inc. for 5 years.

What type of jobs/places have you worked over the years?

VMV Enterprises for approximately 15 years.

When VMV started laying off, I knew I would probably be in the next rounds of cuts so I began to pray about how I would support my children, since I was divorced by this time.

I felt strongly led to return to college and get a teaching degree, which was NOT something I found overly appealing. I wasn't sure I could even pass a college class at that time - 1999 - but I took one class and did well. Took another, and another, and by the time I was laid off from VMV in September, 2001, I knew I could finish my degree. I began full-time at MSU in January, 2002. Completed my degree there. Got my dream job at Lone Oak Middle. Completed my Master's degree.

Where have you lived since graduation?

After getting married, we lived in Reidland for about 8 years. Nothing against Reidland, but I hated it. Everything I did was "on the Lone Oak side of town". Work, church, family, everything. We moved to Old Mayfield Road, in 1990. I currently live on Geibe Road, about 1/2 mile from my parents home where I was born and raised...and I love it...88 acres...good neighbors...God is good.

Current Hobbies/Activities:

Attend Heartland Worship Center. Sing in choir, work in several areas of ministry there.

I love to be outside, work in the yard, swim, spend time with my daughter, Hannah.

I have lots of scrapbook software, but just haven't gotten into it yet.

I like to read, but don't have a lot of time during the school year.

I love to do Bible studies, Beth Moore in particular. I have SO much to learn. I am so thankful God doesn't give up on us.

Unforgettable High School memory (good or bad):

Sporting events, especially basketball. We had a great basketball team and I didn't miss a game. Also loved the football games, although I probably spent more time socializing than watching the games. I "get" football much better now and don't miss a LOHS football game these days!
