Thank you for the good wishes. Today I had to sign the DNR orders for my mom and tomorrow I meet with the hospice team. I don't think my mom seems as bad as she was, since taking her off of all the Alzheimers medications she seems more alert. WOULDN'T it be amazing if she got better and could come back home?????
Is that possible?

Classmates I would so love to add my name to the list for Linda's end of summer party.

However, tonight I asking you to please add my mom to your prayers. She was rushed to the hospital this morning at 5 AM vomiting huge amounts of blood. They found she had a very large ulcer and did the surgery to repair it. However, her recovery after the procedure was very tramatic on her. She had a bad reaction to the medication they used to put her to sleep. She required a unit of blood as well. If any of you are attending church tomorrow please ask a special prayer for Grace, I would appreciate it more than anything in the world.

Thank you for all the kind words regarding Roland. We should know something on August 12 when she sees the doctor for the test results. Roland can walk around and he can do things, he has to sit for awhile between task to task. The PT told him to get up and move around, exercise as much as possible to keep mobile.

Linda count Roland and I in on the BBQ, would love to attend.

Lynne, I am so sorry to hear about your mom. Yes, most certainly, we will say a prayer for Gracie tomorrow. I can only imagine what you are going through right now. I am sending lots of hugs and love your way as always.

Update on mom, she is doing GREAT!! The days seem to pass rather slow for her, but other than that she is doing just fine.

I've been busy doing a spring cleaning throughout the house and asking myself, do I really need this and that?

I wanted to call you from the hospital today but didn't have your phone number in my new cell phone. My other cell phone went for a swim in the lake last week when I jumped in with the grandsons.

Things are going better today for my mom health wise, the Alzheimers is the same. They can't post a note on her door stating she has Alzheimers because of the HIPPA laws. So, my dad and I are taking shifts staying with her all day and all night, as we are her voice now. It's very sad each time there is a new shift change I have to explain it all over again.

Thank you all for the prayers they seem to be working tonight.

Lorene, I'm happy to hear that Roland is up and about. How is he doing with all that has happened with his neighbor buddy.

Molly I am so very sorry I am late with your special Birthday wishes. I hope you had a wonderful day, you deserve it.
I wanted to call you, but the ambulance took my mom back to the hospital again. Life is a little crazy now.

I sure wish I could go back and relive our Las Vegas 40 year reunion time. No worries then, well except for the flight but we all know I managed to survive that one.

Thank You Phyllis and all the others wishing all of us August birthdays. I had a wonderful birthday. We went to Palm Springs for a few days. Had dinner at LG's downtown Palms Springs. Best steak ever....Went up the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway....exciting and I don't do heights to well so by the times we got to the top I was beside myself.....The view was wonderful....Hope to see many at the end of summer BBQ at Linda's.....Thanks Linda for opening your home to all us Ole Pirates....
