Pat, you are so funny. I really didn't mean to put this off onto any one person. I really can send the flowers from up here in Idaho, I just thought it would be better if the girls right there in Vegas could pick them out.
If enough of us send money we can get a really pretty arrangement.

Marianna, or Peggy if either of you decide to do it please post your address, if not I will be happy to do it.

My address is: 3531 E. St. James Ave.
Hayden Lake, ID 83835

Just let us know.
Thanks everyone.

OK we have until Jan. 2nd and tomorrow is Christmas Eve so I don't expect many responses until after the holiday, since Peggy and Marianne haven't been on the site I will be glad to be in charge of ordering the flowers for Becky's Open House.
I will check the site each day to see if there is any other news. I posted my address in a post above.
Love to all.

Merry Christmas

A small band of pirates once again held court at the Gibson Ampetheater to listen to Dave Koz & Friends Smooth Jazz Christmas, featuring Koz on sax and Peter White (guitar), Rick Braun (horns), David Benoit (piano; known for picking up the musical mantle for the Peanuts specials), Brenda Russell (vocals: wrote and performed Piano in the Dark & Get There among others). It was a wonderful evening of music.

THANK YOU MIRTHA!!!!

Lynne...It is so nice of you to offer to take over the ordering of the flowers. My last two nights at work have been 12 hour shifts and now I am off until next Monday. It takes me a day or two to get my circadian rhythm turned around again.
I did talk with Peggy last night. I know that Becki did have medical problems...this is the question that I have. Would a gift of cash be more appreciated in lieu of flowers?
I can still get the flowers from here if needed or do a money gift...let me know.

Marianna & Lynne, I mailed a check to Marianna yesterday. So don't cash it, just tear it up. Lynne I'll send you the money today. Merry Christmas everyone.

Marcia Kraft (Barringer)

Merry Christmas to everyone. We enjoyed a wonderful, traditional Christmas eve with the boys, daughter-in-law and Denny's dad. Visited earlier with my mom, sister and two of her kids.

Big day tomorrow. Of course it's Jesus' birthday first but it's also the Lakers versus the Cavs. There will be 16 family members and friends here for the basketball game, dinner and our "gift game." Lots and lots of fun.

Hi Marianna,
You bring up a good point, maybe money would be a better idea. I will send you a check on Monday, it makes more sense to just let you handle it since you are so close. I never meant this to be a big job for anyone honest. It would be much easier to send you cash, but I don't trust the mail service any longer. I think sending a check then each one of us can send what we can.

Thanks so much Marianna for being so sweet and doing this for so many of us that want to help in some way.

Merry Christmas to you and all of our classmates!!!!

Blessed New Year Wishes for the class of 68!!

Lynne...and I am to cancel the order on flowers? No, I will send them from Peggy, Carol, myself and whoever wants to contribute to them.

Lynne Scales (Thurman)

No Marianna,
I will send the money to you if you think flowers are good. That's really what I wanted to do from day one. However after I read your post on 12/24/09 I thought maybe sending the money was what you thought might be a better idea.
So sorry for the miscommunication, I will mail the checks to you.
I received a check from Tom Fordham today and when Pat's check comes I will send them all to you.
Please include us with the flowers, this is exactly what I was hoping we could all do as a group of Becki's high school classmates.
I appreciate you doing that very much.
Once again sorry for getting things all mixed up.

Love,
Lynne

Marcia

Thank you for the Birthday wishes, we had a wonderful day just my husband and I. We went shopping for some new winter things for my trip to Yellowstone in February.
Then we went out to dinner at Olive Garden, it was a great day.

Thanks for thinking of me.
Lynne

Gang:

I did get a bit confused with all the back and forths on flowers vs cash for Becki's funeral/family but I think that's because of the time lapse with people not being able to check the forum as regularly throughout the holiday.

Anyway, I will be glad to contribute to the floral arrangement and will post a check today to Marianna. Thank you for doing this for us, Marianna.

How sad to have lost another classmate but what a chance for us that remain to remember to cherish each other; be kinder, gentler, more understanding. I'm sure there's not one of us that isn't going through some kind of personal turmoil whether it's financial, health-related (personal or that of a relative or spouse), work related or emotional.

I know it's easy to get frustrated with written communication on-line but I honestly believe our PHS family members mean well when they write and/or suggest things on the Forum.

Funny, we truly have become a family, don't you think? We run the gamut of emotions and can totally get perturbed with each other but in the end, we have each other's backs - always.

Wishing everyone a wonderful, prosperous, healthy New Year filled with love and family and friends.

Molly
