Well Hello to all Pete and Polly's! (Should that be spelled with an ie? Norman, Robert what do you think?)

It seems like a year since we spoke. Wait it has been! Several of you wanted to know what the heck has been going on with me and my world since the "40th" reunion.

I apologize for my tardiness in replying after such a long time. (I do read on the Forum from time to time though.) Presently I'm at home convalescing from some derma treatments that I need to have done about this time every year. Some might say I'm saving my public image from being 'tarnished'. (Picture your face on a beltsander) Yep, it hurts as well. :-(

We got away a couple of times last year. We took another couple to Oahu and stayed about 19 miles north of Honolulu for a week and went back to the old stomp'n grounds in Newport Beach over the 4th of July week.

Other than keeping the employees paid and the wolves away from the door we, like a lot of other businesses had a slight down turn from '08. We hope everyone has a better and blessed 2010 and the outlook for the New Year will be filled with fond memories of family and friends.

I am so happy for Connie's daughter and her family. Having gone through this last February with Steve's wonderful sister I know the feelings Connie and her family are going through. I wish her all the health and happiness she deserves. What a wonderful thing to get a second chance.

Wow is all I've got to say. Connie you and your family have some great things coming your way for 2010. We pirates are so happy for your family and YOU!!!

Looks like 2010 is turning around for the good!

Yep Lynne, I've been pretty, pretty busy with the wedding plans. Who would have ever thought we could pull a wedding together like this one in so short amount of time. The wedding invitations should be here this week, so begins the task of sending them out. April and I picked up her wedding gown today as it came in. She has her fitting on February 6th. We purchased her shoes (got 2 pair) today and I picked up this amazing bracelet for her. She saw it, tried it on and I bought it (I could have cried at that moment, she was so excited). I only have one daughter. Things are coming along, we go to the Embassy Suites South Anaheim for food tasting next Saturday, and a meeting with the florist too.

The wedding photographer has been pinned down and the DJ is going to be FUN. We got this group of guys that are or have been radio announcers, the guy that we are getting works for the Anaheim Angels and for the young girls, well he is a hottie! We are going to dance our *** off. LOL A photo booth has been ordered for everyone to get their pictures taken in. (sound like fun) The bridesmaids dresses are ordered, we have the flower girls dresses, next is the tuxes. I am working on the center pieces, a twenty inch clear tower vase with crystals & lights with cascading flowers from the florist. As for me, I found this amazing dress on-line, black, floor length, with a sheer bodice and sleeves and a v in the back made by Alex. It's hard to tell when you actually try something on. We will see. I just might order it this week. Yeah you can tell I am getting excited. We have something to look forward to, just what I needed in my life. Guess that is what the Good Lord is doing, keeping me busy.

We still have to find a minister as the April's friend that was going to marry them is not able to make it from Denver due to whatever. (long story on that one) Guess I better get to looking for someone, can't have a wedding without a minister, ya think.

Just thought I would touch basis and share a few things going on in my life. Maurene has been in Texas with her son Paul and his family, she comes home on Monday.

Still going out to the Ranch to help my mom. My sisters and I keep her busy so that she is not alone for any length of time.

I have been wondering how the MOTHER OF THE BRIDE was doing? Hey, I ALWAYS knew you could pull off a wedding in that amount of time, you are the party organizer.
I am so very happy when I read all about the fun you and April are having, your bracelet story was the best!

It's been really great to hear all of the good things that are starting off 2010, starting with Connie's daughter.

I hope things will continue to be good for all of you.

Peggy, sounds like you are putting together another amazing fun Las Vegas party. I know it will be another blast from the past. So good, even for those of us who live so far away when we get to see your photos and share in the fun via those camera shots.

Happy New Year We're off to a good start.

Thank you very much for your efforts! I really look forward to seeing my Paramount classmates. Time sure does go by. A life well spent is the best that we can hope for.

As I said before, I hope that we can still get together in 10,20,30 years from now. Even though we're pretty spread out now, it's a create to all of you for keeping the "spirit" of Paramount and friendship alive.

Most of my friends are amazed at our continued get togethers.

Well aloha everyone. It's been so long since I've been in here, someone should spank me for the bad boy that I am. Noooooo not there.... over to the right a bit more....now to the left....a little harder....that's the spot.....a bit more...more...harder......oh yah....that was just what I needed. How much do I owe for that? It was worth every penny. Sooooooooo, there's another party in La Vegas this summer. Ok, I'll take a look at it and see if it can work. It might be a bit tight since I'm planning a trip to Telluride and San Francisco a few weeks earlier. I'm sure there has been a few changes since we last talked. Hopefully not too many breakups
with folks not talking to each other. But, that happens and everyone still moves in the direction they should. Happy New Year everyone. :~)

Hi Everyone, sorry I haven't been on the forum, just got back from Texas from seeing my son Paul. He built a home 30 minutes away from Austin. He built a home in Cimmeron, got to see one of his neighbors Nolan Ryan. I still like the eastern part of Texas where my daughter Le Ann and son Kevin live. Good news! I am going to be a grandma May 10th it is my son kevin's first baby, and its a BOY! Can't wait! Hope all is well with all of you. If you know of anyone looking for a 1941 ford custom street Rod let me know, am selling my father's beautiful car, everything is custom. It has won many awards.

Regarding body changes, she said there were many, occurring every day.....like her breasts. They seem to be in a race to see which will reach her waist, first.

The audience laughed so hard they cried. She is such a simple and honest woman, with so much wisdom in her words!

Thank you Peggy for getting the message out on this years Pirate get together. We hope to get more classes to come and join us.
This year has already started out with its ups and downs. Great news about Connie's daughter. Our prayers are still with her.
Carol and Jim are in need of our prayers. Jim's health is still in question.
Stan and I have had a mixed month. We were able to go to Disneyland on the 5th and 6th. It was a lot of fun going without kids or grand-kids. We did get to see Carol while there and have dinner with her.
Last week my brother-in-law of 46 years passed away in Mesa, Arizona. Dell was a Pirate, he went to Grove Elementary, Paramount Jr High and Paramount High. Dell had been best friends with my older brother, Danny, since I was 4 years old. It is sad that I have lost them both in only 7 months.

Ya know, it is amazing that our family of Pirates have remained in touch with one another and even more so now since our first meeting in Las Vegas put on by some amazing classmates and our continued thanks to Phyllis for the forum.

We Pirates have been through a lot together, all I can say it's a wonderful feeling having all of you in my life, and I am sure that many of you feel the same way and for that I THANK ALL OF YOU!

Connie we are thinking about you and your family, you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Lynne, my dear friend, how have you been? Take each day, one day at a time, hold tight while you can. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of my dad. It's getting better, but I thank God everyday for the wonderful memories.

Still raining, my daughter just called me, it is snowing in Beaumont, I want snow in Corona ): It snowed here in 1969 they say, I am still waiting for it to happen again.

Everyone be safe within the weather condidtions we are experiencing in CA. We so need the rain. I am loving it, sit by the fire place with a cup of hot chocolate. To all of you in other parts of the states/world be safe too.

First of all Marianna so sorry for the loss of your loved ones these past 7 months have had to be horrible.

Lorene, I agree with you in the feeling of how blessed we have all been to be able to stay in touch with one another since our 40th reunion and the great PHS site,

Many of us are now playing around on Facebook and not spending as much time on our PHS site as we used to, but that does not mean we aren't all just a click away.

I have tried not to post much since right now things in my life are not looking to good with my mom, this disease is horrible. I did spend the night with her last night on a blow up mattress, boy this morning I could really feel that I was 60 years old now. Way back when we were kids that blow up mattress would have felt like a big old king size plus mattress out while we were camping, guess that means I have become a SISSY LA LA.

Connie many many prayers to you and Therese.

Lorene, I think about you "Mother of the Bride" everyday when I see a pretty dress some place. You girls are going to all be beautiful.

Maurene, I miss you too. Got an email from Molly the other day, and we were talking, and I told her how much I loved that photo of her and I sitting with our feet in the pool. I swear when I think of all the fun we had with the party at Laurene's it just brings a big smile to my face. I wish we could do it all over again. I loved how I had my own special little room, remember that night we got on the computer and the PHS site and wrote funny things and laughed our heads off rolling all over the bed??????? Great times, great freinds, I am one very blessed "old lady".

Trying to keep positive thoughts, I know that losing a parent is part of life but it doesn't mean it makes it any easier, especially when they don't know why they can't be with you,and they look at you with those eyes filled with such confusion of where am I? Who am I?

OK enough, gotta stop now.
