Lynne, I agree we certainly had a blast when you were at my house. I don't think I have laughed that hard since then. We truly had a wonderful time, high on life that was for sure and the joke you and Maurene played on me. hum, let me see. I can't wait until we can experience all the fun again. Laughing is good for the soul. Lynne your room is always here and waiting for you!

As far as your room goes, well my dear, I have completely remodeled it again. Wait till you see it. You are going to love it even more. We decided to put a cable box in the bedroom too so that anyone staying upstairs can watch whatever they want.

I think about you every day and wonder how you are going. Give me a call any time day or night if ya just need to talk.

Connie & Marianne you and your family are certainly in our thoughts and prayers.

Things are certainly getting ready to get crazy again at work. Our district has to cut $31 million for 2010-11. They are hoping that 100 teachers retire. We've had STRS in the office for the whole month of January. In the almost 26 years that I have been there, I have never seen anything like this. (So many cuts!)

Everyone take care, be safe.

Lorene

Peggy,

I was on classmates, the Las Vegas venue is it open to all Paramount classmates from 1929 to 2010?

01/26/10 08:20 PM #2919

Peggy Steiner (Miller)

Hi Lorene,

It was suppose to be from 1955 to 2010 - I think anything before 1955 was Clearwater, but not sure. But it is open to all Pirates whether it was Clearwater or Paramount. Anyway it was an error that it the prior years got in there, sorry for the confusion.

I was looking at the posting and noticed that here on the forum the dates were not published. The party is June 4th & 5th.

Hope to see all our Pirates. If anyone has any questions please let Marianna or I know.

Peggy

Peggy, thank you for the dates.

I am sorry that I will not be able to attend, as Maurene's granddaughter is graduating from high school in Texas on June 5th. Sorry to miss this great event.

I was talking to Maurene last night and I told that I have been thinking of having a mini get together at my house again sometime during the summer. Have not thought of any particular date yet. Will let everyone know after all the wedding stuff has settled.

Take care,

Lorene

Hi Lorene,
Sorry to here you won't be able to make it - you will be missed. Sounds like you girls have alot going with the wedding and all. We went thru the same thing in 2006 when Debbie got married. Alot of work.

Please keep us posted on your event. I know we are planning a trip to Cali in the summer just not sure when yet.

Take care and have a great day

Peggy

Lorene, I was just looking at some of the pictures on your personal page. You said you and Lynne had the same wedding dresses. Well, your headpiece was like mine! My daughter wor it at her wedding as well. Zoe wants me to keep it for her also. And about what Mayou Angelo said about our boobs dropping, well my 42 D's, have turned into 42 longs.

Lynne Scales (Thurman)

Peggy and Marianna,

Sorry but I won't be able to attend the PHS event in June either. Lots of travels going on right now, going on a Snow mobile trip to Yellowstone in Febraury, then off to Wyoming to see Dorothy Smaller-Abler and deliver something to her husband, that I hope will make his life a little easier.

Maybe next time, or at least the 45th where ever that may be.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Lynne

Lynne,
Hope you have a nice time on your trips you have planned.
The 45th is just around the corner and I am sure the girls will put on a fabulous event, and it will be closer for you since it will be in Calif. Hope you are doing well.

Lynne glad to see that you are going places, it is good for you to get out and have some fun.

Sandy, that is amazing about the wedding head pieces. The one I have belonged to Maurene. That was my something borrowed, but I still have it. hummm (Maurene do you want your veil back) I still have my wedding dress too. I have pictures of my granddaughter in the dress when she was 2 years old.

About the boob thing, you are way to funny!!!! My grandmother told me a story years ago, I've never forgotten it, or how could I when you hear this. Now try to visualize. My grandmother was sitting in church one Sunday morning with her best friend, she looked over at her friend, she had this button down dress and she saw something popping out her friends dress near her lap between the buttons, her best friends boob. I laughed my *** off when she told me the story. My grandmother was an amazing woman anyway, always making me laugh. So I see the smile on your face - funny huh.

Off to do the wedding stuff this weekend again. We are cake tasting and searching for flowers - a full day on Saturday.

I am hoping to be in Carmel on Valentines Day. I want to get away, it will be a year that my dad passed away. Hoping to take mom up to Maurene's too.

Happy Friday everyone! Yipeeeeeeeeeeeee

Love,

Lorene

With sadness we note the passing of our friend and classmate, Donna Boudreau (Quintana).

Preliminary indications are she suffered a heart attack Saturday morning. From their conversations, earlier in the day, we know she'd worked in her garage and was in high spirts, and was getting dressed to go shopping with friends. The small consolation is she was at a happy time in her life and suffered little.

As details of any services are availabe, we'll post them.

We miss you, Donna.

Don,

Thank you for letting us know about Donna, I am shocked to hear about her passing. I am lost for words. If anyone is going to do flowers or whatever please let me know - I would like to contribute.

Thank you again.

OH MY GOD!!!!! I don't know what to say either. Donna lived across the street from Don amd I when we lived in our first house on Fairlock. It was her parents house and she moved in after they were gone. I didn't know it was her for the longest time. She worked full time and I was busy with my kids and PTA and life in general. Then one day I was out watering the yard and noticed her getting out of her car w/o sunglasses on and saw who she was. We visited some on and off, but we moved shortly after and I never saw her again (in person anyway, just reunion pictures). She still looked the same. I could of picked her out in a crowd. I can't believe this!

For those of you who haven't been to your old stomping grounds for a long long time you can go to this site to view the old neighborhood. www.vpike.com

Also, please let me know about the flowers by Thurs.

Pat!
That site vpike was great! I looked up my old address on Hedda in Long Beach, and low and behold, there it was.
I've seen aerial view but these are street level. Now anybody can stalk me or case my house. I'd better go and by a bigger gun.
See ya' al' in June.

Just wanted to pass along that Jim Smith, Carol Maddox's husband, has been fighting cancer for several years. She doesn't think he is going to survive this last bout in the hospital.
