My good ol' friend Gary showed this to me the other day during dinner ( in Reno).  We were in 2nd grade, 63 years ago!   I gave it to him for his birthday in 1957.  It seems like it was just a few years ago that we were hanging out after school.

Ok Pirates, just a crazy thought. I have been asked by many Pirates when we can have another Pirates Party here in Vegas. Depending on how things go after the first of the year with this Covid situation I was thinking of maybe we could get a Pirates Party together. I miss not seeing so many of you. Like I said it is just a thought and wonder how many of you would be interested. Please let me know. Hope everyone had a fun Halloween and looking forward to a blessed Thanksgiving. The Turkey.

The sweet potatoes. The stuffing. The pumpkin pie. Is there anything else we all can agree so vehemently. Vegetables are a must on a diet. I suggest carrot cake, zucchini bread, and pumpkin pie. After a good dinner, one can forgive anybody, even one's own relations.

Hello Everyone, it's been awhile since I've been on this site. Hope that you  are all safe and feeling fine. I know many of us are looking toward the future of some type of normalcy. 

My sisters and I have been busy taking care of our mom. She fell and fractured her right shoulder. It's been a long progress, but day by day is a better day. She has her somewhat of a cast off and is beginning to be able to do some things for herself. We have to help her take a shower and get dressed and she is not walking with a cane anymore. You have to be an advocate out there in the world of doctors and insurance. Through this whole ordeal we have had to get after the doctors to do their job or they would have left her behind.

I am looking forward to going camping at the Parker Stretch over Memorial Day. Love it, we camp right on the water. Planning a camping trip to Newport Dunes for Father's day weekend.

We have several other trips to the river planned. We will also be going to Idaho this summer (NAMPA), October and November to see our grandson and granddaughter. A trip to Hawaii is in the horizon for possibly January.

It is my understanding that there is going to be a cruise for PHS Alumni May 29th which is a Saturday. The plan is to meet at Linda Hernandez's home 3:00 pm to 4:00-5:00 pm. (15516 Orizaba Ave. Paramount, CA  90723). I will be missing this one as we made our reservations a year ago at the river. If you are in the area, try to go and meet up with our classmates. Should be a lot of fun!

Oh some good news, we are going to be Great Grandparents in November. It's a little girl!

My love to all. Take care and hopefully one day we can all meet in Las Vegas again.

It is with a very sad heart tonight that we lost another Pirate, Bruce Huckeba.  Bruce has been in a Texas hospital for almost 2 weeks.  In the past few months Bruce had  2 heart attacks and then Saturday with a massive heart attack and then this morning with what is believed to be a possible stroke.  Bruce and I have been best friends since Jr. High Schoo.  Bruce was in the Army and had a tour of duty in Vietnam. Please keep his beautiful wife Polita Maria Huckeba in your prayers.  Bruce lived in Alabama.

Thanks to all who post on this site. I know social media is so easy to keep in touch with everyone but for some reason I feel this is still a great place for announcements and updates. 

So glad to hear you all had a great turnout for the BBQ, and are even thinking about a 55th reunion. Count me in. If I can be of any help from here in Santa Maria, let me know.
