Marianne, I do remember Charlene Page. We used to go swiming at her house when we lived on Indiana in Paramount. They had this big concrete pool. It was always so much fun. Maurene and I used to go to her house all the time and she came to our house too. My mom and her mom were in the PTA at Lincolon Elementary. Lost contact with her after we moved to Olivia in Paramount.
Do you remember the popcorn and fudge ice creams that we used to get at Lincoln. My mom used to make and sell the popcorn for PTA. I used to buy a fudge ice cream and dip it in my popcorn. Does not sound too good now, but it sure was good then. When I am off the 2 weeks for the holidays, I will put my class pictures on the profile of Lincoln Elementary and Mokler Elementary. Our last day to work is December 19, we return to work on January 5, 2009.

Good Memories.

Geneva came home a little tiny winner.

I came home a loser (lost most of my budget for the trip)

But it was enjoyable at times, a few flashes of brilliance before the lights dimmed for good.

Hey There Classmates:

My dad just gave me his yearbook from Clearwater High school 1941, it is called "The Viking Log". If anyone has any parents, or relatives they would like me to scan and send to you I'd be more than happy to do that.

It's really been fun to look at, I had no idea my dad was a football HUNK! Ron Dunphy watch out. lol

Love,
Lynne

Hey guys, The Viking Log is what the Paramount Jr. High kids were. I'm thinking that since Paramount High wasn't opened until 1955, that the old Paramount junior high must have been the High School then, right? Oh, I'm so smart.

Billie...
I just love the new pictures that you posted on your profile. Your grandbabies are just beautiful! Your Christmas tree is beautiful. You look so very happy and content with life.
It must be a wonderful thing to have your family close by. When Stan and I went to Washington State last October we sure got to spoil our grandkids...all 5 of them.
Billie...have you heard from Peggy? I haven't gotten a phone call...email...nothing in a long time.

Billie Jo-Yes, I'm okay. My foot healed but is still stiff after I've walked alot. I showed your new pictures to my Mom tonight before we sat down for dinner. She saw you and said " Oh, of course. I'd know that girl anywhere." We're still girls to her, now don't ya feel young? The picture of Baby Katie smiling at Lisa is so sweet. I had an instant smile on my face. Don was finishing his fish fry and I told him to look at this picture. Big smile on his face as well. I asked him if we were too old for a baby , he said "Your equipment, has left the building!" Too late for me. I know you will have fun with those kids this holiday season as I will with Zoey Rae. Take Care-Sandi

Please take care throughout the Holidays!!

Lynne,

I'd like to see some of the photos from your dad's yearbook of 1941. Are there photos of the area around the school? How about 1942?

A few years ago, we went back to Wichita, Kansas. The librarian at East High School, where my dad and his 8 brothers and sisters attended, let me look through the archive and xerox some of the photos of my family. That's an idea for anyone who had family at old Paramount and Clearwater schools. By the way, it wasn't until then that I realized that my highschool ideal, Jim Ryan, the world record holder in the mile run went to East High in Wichita.
Cool.
If I don't write for awhile, I wish all of you a very happy holiday period, shared with family and friends.
Mark and family

Lynne, I'd also like to see pictures of the old high school and surrounding area. I was told by an old neighbor of my Mom's that the Paramount Drive-In area was at one time a lake. I love old pictures and history in general.

Hi Mark and Sandy
I will be more than happy to scan some of the photos of my dad's yearbook. Here is my dilema for just a short period of time. We have our scanner here in Moses Lake where my husband is working, and the yearbook is at our house two hours away from here. I will be traveling back home tomorrow, and then will return next week and bring the book back with me and get to work on it.

Sandy I will have to ask my dad about the Paramount drive in theater once being a lake. If anyone will know that it will be him, he's told me stories about him and his buddies water skiing behing their cars down the streets there in Paramount. lol

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas, and most of all a very Bless Year of Good Health to you all and all of your families.

If I have learned anything this past year, it's how precious our health is and the health of our loved ones.

Love
Lynne
