Gloria Dena (Morales)

Yes Linda I'am at work every day. In between gradeing papers and helping the kids I have to check out whats going on with the e-mail and such the only thing I cain't get on is facebook darn. If I could I would really be in trouble =}I would never get any work done.

Yes Cessy did tell me you guys had a great time in Catalina.Maybe next time I'll be able to go. She also told me about Cinco de Mayo and the car show. I'am glad she's going out more she needed to get out of that house and do something exciting. I just wish that we lived closer so that I could go with you girls. 45min. each way is just to much when I have to get up at 5:30am. We will have a good time in a few weeks in Vegas cain't wait.

I cain't wait to see Sarah also. She has always been such a crazy girl. She made me laugh so much at the reunion it was like we had been seeing each other all the time.

See you soon Gloria

Like the other parents on the forum, I am most proud of our boys. I love the young men they have become.

I am also very proud of being married to my husband for almost 38 years. We were blessed with great examples of long marriages in our parents. My mom and dad were married just shy of 60 years when my dad passed away three years ago. Denny's parents had been married 63 years when Grandma Martha passed away.

Happy Mother's Day to all of you!

Marianna Brown (Schechter)

Hey Wesley Gaines girls...for some reason I think the girl that got the swat was a girl named Lynn. She was always wearing make-up and Mr. Kleinberg would always go make her was her face. I think she talked back to him about it...?

Marianna, do you remember a last name. My mind is pretty foggy about who was in the class. I am going to go back and look at our class picture to see if I can remember.

Lynne Scales (Thurman)

Just for the record who ever the Lynn was that got the swat, it wasn't me "Lynne Scales". Just wanted to clear that up. My folks never would have allowed me to wear make up then, if I would have they would have done the swatting themselves. LOL

Carol Maddex (Switzer)

Sure we know you really wore make-up Lynn...Fess up it was really you......HeHe

Phyllis Willhite

Lynne, you didn't go to Wesley Gaines school either. So there can be no doubt it was you who got swatted. I am going to post the 6th grade picture when I fivure out how to get my scanner to work. Then maybe Marianna can point out "Lynn" to us.

OK, the picture is in my profile. I've been trying to remember who everyone is, but I'm not having much luck. Maybe Marianna or Gloria can remember, Patsy too. HELP.

I can remember a few of the girls, Diane Centers, Marianna, Carolyn Oconner, Nadine Rosales, Rhonda Stevens, Connie something or other, Rachel Breceda, Gail, Carol Pierson, Royce, Olga Dominguez. But lots that I cannot recall. I'm the funny looking one on the last row. I only remember names of 7 of the boys. Louie Reyna, Ronnie Tucker, Glenn, Bruce, Don Dyer, Terry Denning, Eddie Gale.

It took me a while but, I downloaded my photos from last year's reunion and mini-reunion. 62 photos. Check them out. Excuse my mug in a number of them.
Linda, how did the track meet go? I don't know if you knew, but when we went to Paramount, we ran against some of the best runners in the state and nation. Centennial High was the number one track team in the nation, Compton and Dominguez were in the top group too.

Phyllis I only recognized Sara in your 6th grade picture...Which one was you and Marianna?

Mark loved your pictures you posted....I had not seen any of them before unless they were in the DVD Peggy did for us....I have only viewed that just once so my memory doesn't serve me well at times....

Thanks Mark...

Mark,
Thanks so much for posting all the photos and taking us back down memory lane of our wonderful 40 year reunion.

Ladies and Gentlemen who did all of the pre-work for our banquet dinner A BIG FAT THANK YOU, things were really beautiful and you out did yourselves. The decorations were really great!

Mark, we need to take the time for a Kodak moment next time we are all together. I tried to get around to get photos with everyone, I didn't have the best luck but I did come home with a few that I will cherish for years.

Everyone have a great weekend.

I have to add my two cents as well. Great pictures Mark! I have looked at the old ones many times and will probably look at them many more.

Phyllis, your grandson is so adorable. Wish I had some more babies around. My kids are done having little ones.

Patricia Hamilton (Denham)

Carol,

As much as I would like great grandchildren I don't even want that to happen for a long time. Amethyst is only 16 and I see a bright future for her and that includes college. She's a very bright girl and see her making something of herself first, before kids. Thanks for the thought anyway.

And Gloria, I agree it sucks getting old. I can't remember anything anymore.

Love ya,
Pat D.

I remember the face of that girl, but I didn't remember her name was Lynn. Marianna, is she the one who got the swat?

05/09/09 10:30 PM #2312

Carol Maddex (Switzer)

Thanks Gloria for knowing who was who in Phyllis's picture. I went back and looked again. The only one at first knew was Sara and Patsy....I didn't come to Paramount till the eighth grade...my how everyone changed in two years...

Marianna has a memory like an elephant, she can tell stories and names like no one I know....I am very thankful for that because like you and Pat my memory isn't worth squat.

Pat I did not mean great-grandchildren in the near future, I know you want a future for your granddaughter...who wouldn't especially in this world we live in now...High School isn't enough to make it....

Hey all you mothers out there have a WONDERFUL MOTHER'S DAY!!!

Lynne Scales (Thurman)

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL OF YOU MOM'S OUT THERE, MAKE IT A GREAT DAY AND GET ALL THE TLC YOU DESERVE.

Lynne Scales (Thurman)

I posted some photos at the end of my profile. There are some of the Rainbow girls, Kathy Davies, Sue Lovinger, you might get a kick out of them.

Mark Overstreet I posted a couple for you of my dad's sports letters he gave to me today. They are from Clearwater High 1940 pretty cool, I also posted my first Holy Communion photo, I think I recall you talking about that once. Anyway, thought you might get a kick out of the old stuff.

Take care,
Lynne

Marianna Brown (Schechter)

Gee Carol...Thanks for the complement. I am thankful that I do have a good memory. I do know that some of us excel in some things, others have things that they will be remembered for...thank God mine will be my memory.
Again Carol is correct...there will be no 'walk ins' at the Vegas Party. If you do have any questions or concerns regarding this please contact Peggy at 702-839-1221 or 702-301-0974 or me at 509-499-9234.
