Comments:

After high school, I attended the U of MD Munich branch for two years and graduated from the U of MD in College Park in 1963. I married Steve in 1963 and we went to Fort Huachuca in AZ when he was drafted. We moved to Seattle where he became an insurance executive and I taught high school until our children were born. After five years in Seattle, we moved to Minneapolis for five years, to Chicago for five years and to the NYCity area for eight years. My husband's last transfer brought us all to the Los Angeles area. He died in 1994. I retired in 2008 from teaching in the infamous Los Angeles Unified School District for fifteen years (high school English). My son,who lives near me, has a fifteen year old son and my daughter has two girls three and eight and a boy six. They live in San Clemente, CA. I spend a lot of time with my mother who lives across the street. She will be ninety in Aug. For fun, I volunteer at the Gibbon Conservation Center where I cook, chop mountains of vegetables and feed the gibbons. They are amazing animals. Retirement is wonderful. Teaching has become too frustrating with all the state and federal mandates and the pressure to raise test scores. My mother enjoys cruising. She took the whole family to Alaska last summer. This fall we are doing a repositioning cruise from Vancouver, down the coast and ending up back in Los Angeles. That's about it. I can't believe fifty years have flown by so quickly!

School Story:

I only attended PAS for part of the spring semester of 1959, so I don't remember much about it except that I had taken Spanish all through high school and they only offered French to which I took an immediate dislike. The senior trip to England was great.
