Pennie Pinson Buckelew

After PAHS, I went to U. of Maryland in Munich and then to Troy University-Montgomery when we returned to the states. Other than 5 years in Austin, Texas where I was meeting planner for a large association, I spent my employed years with the state of Alabama. 10 years with the Alabama legislature and 12 years with the Ethics Commission and Alabama Governor (two administrations - one Democrat and one Republican) - odd I know. I loved politics but I love being away from it too. I retired 1/1/09 and I highly recommend it. Well I guess I couldn't just stay away all the time. I went back to work for 3 days a week for a lobbyist (he was Governor's Chief of Staff) and it is just enough to keep my hands in and keep up with the politics of the state. I love working every other day.

Most of my most-precious memories are from PAHS. I loved my teachers, the contract bus, the metro, the train, Paris, Europe, the food, even the weather but most of all my wonderful friends.
