In Memory

John Davidson - Class Of 1963

John Davidson

February 5, 2022

John Davidson ’63 passed away yesterday.  His medical problems were too long to list and his body just couldn’t take anymore.  His wife, Cathy Katherman our classmate, was by his side over the past days when he was in palliative care in the hospital.  There will be no service in North Carolina as he will be cremated and sent to Arlington National Cemetery. He was loved by us all and his smile will always be remembered as it lit up the room and made everyone happy.  Always with a joke on his lips, he will me missed by all of us.  We lost one of our best friends today.  May God Bless his soul.  Mickey Coe’62

John was my brother and I will miss him. We rarely saw each other in our adult years, the last time I was at the 2010 Paris HS reunion. He served a year in Vietnam in the late 1960s, was explosed to Agent Orange like the rest of us there. I spent a total of 18 months in country and like many vets paid a price years later when AO reared its ugly head to both of us.

May John rest in peace in Heaven. When its my turn to go, I hope to meet up wth him and my parents. Life at times can be cruel. I miss him more with each passing day.

Phil Davidson.

Still thinking of my late brother, John. I miss him more with the passing of time. If there is an afterlife I hope to meet up with him and my parents again. The good memories we had as kids of both John and my younger brother Tom who lives in southern Oregon.
