Retired from Army, 18 months Vietnam, 10 years Japan, retired, then 13 years with the Washington St Patrol in auto theft, retired. Presently, (since 1998) co-owner of a specialty plant and landscape nursery where our niche is Japanese-Chinese style gardens and accessories. We design, install and maintain same. Import Asian stoneware from China. Koi ponds, etc, Lots of fun and challanges - should have done this 45 years ago. Live in the Pacific Northwest with great summers but the winters suck - very mild but overcast and rain. We are planning on snowbirding, buying a second home, in either Yuma, Arizona or McAllen, Texas for the next and following winters.
Presently, like many other Vietnam vets, I am now dealing with Agent Orange exposure while in Bien Hoa province, one of the most heavily sprayed areas. 35 years later the ticking time bomb goes off and one is confronted with the results. Have an ongoing battle with VA for an increased disabilty rating.
We just purchased a winter home in Mesa, Arizona - now I can finally grow my tropicals: palms, orange and lemon trees, etc.
Am active in the anti-war movement - one Vietnam was enough.

Remember great times in Paris with Dick Williams, Mike Foxworth, John Davenport, Roger Hepner and others. Many a time we would go to Paris on the weekends and raise hell. Catching the last bus back from the Etoile in Paris to Petit Beauregard at 1:00AM. In quiet moments I often replay memories of 1958 - 1960. Wonder whatever happened to our 'lost' classmates: Diana Gray, Lynn Driscoll, Pam St Clair, Bob 'Bosco' Kendricks, Terri Baker and others?
The beer fete in Spring 1960. Paris introduced me to jazz (The Blue Note & Left Bank jazz caves), still my favorite music.
