Robert Jay Turner

After graduting PAHS 1958, returned to Columbia, SC where father assigned to Ft. Jackson. I attended University of South Carolina, graduated in 1962, and entered US ARMY; served in Vietnam 1966-67. Left active duty 1968 and began 30-year career with Eastman Kodak Co/Eastman Chemical Co, Columbia, SC and retired from Kingsport, TN. Returned to Columbia in 1998, and have enjoyed semi-retirement, 7 adult children and 15 grandchildren; 4 of the children and their families are in Columbia, the others are in Florida, Indiana, and Idaho. Of the 7 "kids", only 1 remains single, i.e., a bachelor but not for long. Latest update on family is that we have 2 more grandsons on the way, one due later in 2009 and the other in early Feb. 2010. That will be 17 grandkids, and they keep on coming and keep on blessing!

I last attended a PAHS reunion in fall 1997 in Washington D.C.

My senior year 1958 was the only year I attended PAHS; my previous years were in Kaiserslautern, Germany. My senior year was a BLAST with the most incredible friends in all classes (students and staff) and memories! I'll never forget our Senior Class trip to England! Who from our class can ever forget Straford-On-Avon, London, and every place in between we "graced" with our presence?!
