Been retired now for several years--don't miss the stress. One highlight of my career was working with Remote Access Medicine in Guyana and setting up an operating room for the indigenous population. Somewhere in Letham there is child named after me for helping save the mother's life during her C section. I read in amazement the stories of fellow PAHS students. It certainly was very formative for all our lives. I went back to France with my wife to relive some of the glory days and impress her with my less than fluency in French: I had the whole staff at a Parisian Gap cackling when I mispoke and asked to buy a chicken for my wife. It was all in good fun. I enjoyed one reunion in San Antonio where I was able to get in touch with good buddy Lenny Cooper before his passing. He bought me my first ever beer in Maisons Lafitte and introduced me to my high school sweetheart. Jeff and Mark McAdams and I were good friends at PAHS and I travelled to London with his family for spring beak. Great memories. I traveled with fellow cross country teammates on the Orient Express to Stuttgart for regional finals and I remember someone stealing the train signage--wonder what happened to it. My first girlfriend in France stole a gendarme's hat and we at one time tried to outrun the police on my Lambretta--it did not end well, but I kept the hat until just a few years ago.
