Hi Lori, I'm remembering you...Fete de Lodge, and other excursions into Paris. Hope your doing well. Have a remarkable birthday and please post a few recent photos and tell us all your story!!
Judy, have a great birthday!
Great story Tom. Our family lived in St Germain as well and I took the bus to PAHS. As for skipping school...I bought Susie Kelly's dad's 1958 Opel Record and started to drive into school with a few friends and often into Paris on the weekends or to other places and events. Mr. Taft gave me a hard time about driving to school with other kids in the car...liability issues, anyway he tried to suppress my freedom to drive to school and when i would not comply he threatened to have me expelled. So I quit. I worked at the commissary and the car wash in Bel Manoir and eventually at a casino down in Paris. Suddenly I had beaucoup $ and was able to attend the prom at the Eiffel Tower (as Susie's date) and on to the Lido with my group of friends. I spent much time running around Paris during that year...mostly left bank. I went back to PAHS the following year (67 that's why I appear in both 66 and 67 senior year book photos) only to see that most of the student body move out of France (to Brussels, Germany, UK, Turkey, etc.) I have no regrets for dropping out of school back then, because of the education I got from my experiences out and about.

Stonehenge on June 21st 2018. On this day, our 37th anniversary, along with 7000 other souls, were allowed into and on the stones. Some Druids attended and we all witnessed the sunset through the stones...
