Janet Connelly Moore

I have moved around a lot since 1966. Perhaps that is inherent in being a military brat. Southern CA was home for 25 years with a 2-year break in NY. I've lived in FL twice, central and northern, and have resided in Memphis since 2000. Travel has been to Europe and Mexico (I love San Miguel, MX). It seems my life has been mostly been about work and the "doing" of everyday living. A recent serious illness had a profound effect in that I realized work is not the end-all, be-all. Guess I've always been a take-charge type-A. Asking for help is not an easy response for me but the relationships be build are what really matter. Support from wonderful family and friends enabled me to recover. Now, (even though I have to remind myself) work is just a job, and friends and family are closer than ever. My passion is ballroom dancing.

The entire experience was life-altering and world expanding. I experienced so much that I would have never had access to as a girl growing up in the South. Every chance I have, I express my gratitude for such a wonderful experience. My experiences at PAHS remain in my heart and will forever.
