After graduate school, served 25 years as United Methodist Pastor in various places around SoCal, including stints as hospital and hospice chaplain. Retired from ministry when I turned 50 in '98. Spent the next sixteen years working with seniors in a variety of settings, including LGBT community centers in Chicago and Orange County. Retired in '14 after five years with Alzheimer's Association.

Moved to Desert Hot Springs in '09. Celebrated 15 years with my partner, Michael Barnes, on 4/16/20. Life is good!
