The #1 reason is: To connect our entire class, not just those who are on Facebook and to gather all our classmates in one online place. Many classmates are not on Facebook and don't want to be. This site was created to connect and re-connect with our classmates (even those who will not be attending the reunions). Our next goal is to make this site a scrapbook of memories for all classmates and our friends from other CHS classes.
Now the whole class can:
- Send a private message to other classmates right from the other person's profile without emailing them directly, thus keeping your email address private. Only you can share that info with them if you choose to do so.
- See photos from our high school days as well as pics of faculty & past reunions.
- Upload your own photos in the gallery and/or create your own gallery.
- See what your classmates look like now if they have uploaded a recent pic.
- See what your old friends have been doing throughout the years if they have shared that on their profile.
- Get information on future reunions and other events.
- See who has passed away and leave a comment or memory on their profile page.
#2 reason is: To make our site successful. This is not my site, it's our site! The only way this site will be successful is if we can get most of our class in here.
#3 reason is: This will be the site that we will use for you to sign up and pay for the reunion.
This site has a built-in system that allows you to register for the reunion and keeps track of those who have paid. It even gives you the option to pay by credit card. Of course, you can still register here & pay by check through snail mail if you wish, but being able to accept credit cards is a major convenience!
#4 reason is: You can register to take the CHS Tour even if you don't plan to go to the reunion. We need a head count in order to schedule it. After you join, just click the link in the menu to your left.
#5 reason is: Do you really need another reason?? If so, give me some time, I'll think of something!

All contact information (address, phone number, e-mail address) that you enter into this website will be kept confidential. The host of this web site, ClassCreator.com, is a locally-owned business. They understand the importance of your privacy. Your personal information will never be sold to other sites. It will not be shared or distributed.
Your contact information is private; your street address, e-mail address, and phone number cannot be seen by classmates. Each classmate has the ability to limit the visibility of his or her profile to only fellow classmates by clicking on the appropriate answer in the Profile Visibility section during profile setup. If you do not opt for privacy on this line your profile can be viewed by non members such as your friends or family, but also note your profile will be fully indexable by major search engines.
Finding your class web site Profile pages by searching Google or other major search engines:
- If you are signed on to the site and restricted your profile to only fellow classmates, and then use a search engine to see if the privacy options above are working, it will appear they are NOT. This is only because you are signed into the site. Sign out and check again. You will see that none of your profile information is viewable by non members.
Contacting fellow classmates: Use the "Send A Private Message" option at the top of each classmate's profile page (just look under the classmate's main photo in the upper left). This way you will be able to contact classmates without sharing your private email address, unless you choose to do so.
All class Email news sent from us to you via this web site: For those of you with spam blocking or email filtering capabilities, please add noreply@classcreator.net to your email account as a safe sender in order to ensure you receive email communications from us.
Please note that if you do not want your name and picture on this site it may be removed by using the Contact Us button. This will end all communications to you from the Charlotte Jr/Sr High School Class of 1971, unless you ask that special arrangements be made.

As stated on the Home Page: Reading the member profiles is the main point of this website and so much fun! It's a great way to get to know each other all over again or maybe for the first time.
In order to access the member profiles that are password protected on this site, you must set up your own profile by providing a minimum of your email address, and a password. You do not have to answer any other questions on your profile to sign up - you can answer those questions later by clicking on "Edit Profile". But please do answer as many as you are comfortable with, as soon as you can because that is how we will get to know a little bit about you. People want to know what you've been doing all these years. 
To set up your profile: locate and click on the "Classmate Profiles" link, then locate your name and click on it. Follow the prompts to create your profile. If you are from another class, you will find your name at the bottom of Classmate Profiles under the heading Guest Members.
Private information like your email address, home address, and phone numbers will not be visible to fellow classmates. We collect mailing addresses in the event that we need to contact you by snail mail or phone. Your information will never be given to other classmates without your permission.
We encourage you to add a current picture to your profile as a master photo. This photo will be displayed in various areas around the site. If you prefer, you can email the photo you would like to use to me at CHS1971ROC@gmail.com and have me upload your photo for you.
If your name is not already on the site, but you were part of the Charlotte Jr/Sr High School Class of 1971, or you wish to be a Guest Member, please use the Contact Us form and your name will be added.
Updates: If you change your email address, snail mail address, or phone number, please update your Contact Info so we always have up to date information. That way you'll always be in the know about what your classmates are up to or of any future events!
Passwords:
Choosing a password: Passwords do not need to be the high security style recommended for some sites. Choose something simple that you are certain you will remember. Clicking the "Remember Me" will allow you to bypass entering the password each time you visit, but eventually the "remember me" will fail (for instance when you get a new computer). Please make note of your password!
If you forget your password simply click on "forgot password". If you have several email accounts, and you don't remember the one you used to set-up your account, contact me via the Contact Us button. If I'm not online, this could take a while so please be patient. PLEASE NOTE: I will only be able to tell you the email you signed up with, NOT your password! So again, be sure you use a password that you can easily remember.

The wonderful part about this site is that it came pre-setup by Class Creator. To get started, I just had to enter all the names. (Then the real work began, making so many other pages) The site assembles a missing list for us, based solely on the names of people who don't have profiles; so until you have a profile, the site will consider you "missing".
Also, please note: We need your help to contact every classmate. If you have email information about any classmate, listed or not listed, please contact me. To contact a fellow classmate, you may simply use the message option at the top left of each Classmate's Profile page (located under Master Photo). This feature will send your message via email from the site (not your email address) to allow open communication between Classmates, while protecting your personal information. If you wish to share your email address or other personal information within a message written on our site, the site will not block you from doing so.
You can also leave a comment on your friend's profile but please note: all comments there can be seen by everyone. So if you want to contact them privately, you must use the link under their Master Photo.

Adding current pictures is not a requirement to participate on the site, but it certainly is a nice way to get to know people again. The folks at Class Creator have had reports of classmates who were routinely running into each other without knowing it, because...well....we've all changed a little over the years! :)
Filling in the photo slots at the top of your Profile:
- Click "Edit Profile" under MEMBER FUNCTIONS.
- Roll your cursor over the Master Photo, Then, Now, or Yearbook photo silhouette (note you cannot upload a yearbook photo if one has already been provided)
- Click "Select Photo" displayed in the upper right corner of photo, then click the "Upload a New Photo" button.
- Select the desired photo from your hard drive. You will then be given an opportunity to crop the photo for a perfect fit. If you need help with this or don't understand my instructions, please ask me for help. That's what I'm here for!
Adding large "Profile Gallery Images" to your Profile:
- Click "Edit Profile" under MEMBER FUNCTIONS.
- Click the photo tab in the upper right corner of your Profile.
- You will see any images previously uploaded here. Click the "Upload a New Photo" button to add more.
- Click to select images you wish to display on your Profile. All images with a green check mark will display. Click again to not display, and the green check mark will disappear.
- To add a caption under your images, roll over any image and select "Edit Details". Enter your caption and press save.
- You can adjust the display order of your photos by simply dragging and dropping them into the positions of your choosing.

If you would like to contact a friend, leave a note for them on their profile page, and request to exchange personal information.
