Since I graduated in 1967, been to Blinn College, 67 and 68, University of Plano 68 to 72, moved to Houston in 1975, had a bunch of employers. I blame that on me being a brat and wanting change periodically, I finally retired, though laid off prior and spent 15 month on unemployment benefits.
When and where were you a brat outside the United States?
TACHI AFB, 1956-1960! Paris France 1967 Moved from Paris to Patch Barracks-June 1967. Charles DeGaulle hated all the military in his country and evicted everybody but french forces from France. I was at Patch Barracks from June 1967 to August 1967 when I flew back to Texas for colllege.
Do you have a favorite place where you ever lived? What made it special to you?
Favorite place I think was Aurora, Colorado, and reason, because I had friends and I was in Junior High at the time. That was fun. I liked living at Tachi AFB too. That was fun. We had a neat maid that we saw daily. Paris was ok. It was an adventure that i liked too.
Have you been back to visit any place you lived growing up overseas?
No, I havent. I went back to Blinn College, Brenham, and my dorm has disappeared. The University of Plano has also disappeared. Where it sat is now taken up by homes.
