Army brat born in Savannah, Georgia on 12.01.54 - have lived in Georgia, North Carolina, Hawaii, Virginia, and eleven years in Germany (Landstuhl, Bad Kreuznach, Stuttgart, Munich). Associate in Arts from University of Maryland (Munich campus), Bachelor of Science in Education from Armstrong State College (now merged with Georgia Southern University) minors in Art, and German, one year at the University of Stuttgart studying drama, literature, and history.
I live with husband, Nicholas, and our black and tan coonhound mix (Thunder) on Myrtle Island in Bluffton, SC where we have lived since 2003. My father and husband have the same birthdays - 20 years apart – father: Col. (Ret.) George William Harrell was born on June 13, 1930, and husband, Nicholas Timothy Maxim on June 13, 1950.
Daughter Claire Pinckney lives in Bluffton with Evan DeWalt and two of our grandchildren: River (14), and Theile May (11) Their father David Timmerman is from France; Theile and River speak fluent French.
Grandson Taylor (23) lives in Savannah, GA with girlfriend Sarah. Son Nicky III is in St Paul with wife Allison and grandson Rowen (19). Grandson Bailey (27) lives in Japan. My sister Anne Harrell Stacks is in Augusta with husband David Stacks, and brother Andrew “Boo” Harrell lives in Bluffton.
